Personally I love Jay Lethal and I think his character is a great tribute to Randy savage. Has anyone heard what Savage thinks about Jay?

On May 8, 2007 TNA Mobile said that Randy Savage called Jay Lethal and said that he loves the "Black Machismo" character. The two spoke on the phone for several minutes. Lethal subsequently expressed doubt over whether he had really spoken with Savage as the Macho Man's trademark voice is easily imitated.

Savage's performance voice and his real voice are pretty different...
...If someone called him up, claiming to be Savage, doing some over the top Savage wrestling imitation... I'd be skeptical as well.
He was probably more skeptical due to the fact that the voice on the phone didn't sound like the whacky promo Savage, than it being from the chance someone was imitating him.
