With the recent drop in ratings and overall buisness significant WWE insiders dispose of their stock. By James Caldwell, Torch columnist Jul 25, 2007, 02:16
New documents filed by WWE on Tuesday with the Securities and Exchange commission (SEC) indicates an across-the-board sell-off of WWE stock by major insider holders.
The significant sellers included Kevin Dunn, executive VP of TV production, who sold 10,698 shares on the open market for a value of $171,274. In the same filing, he acquired 50,000 shares of WWE stock that will yield a value depending on "performance, vesting, and forfeiture provisions."
WWE COO Michael Sileck sold 8,364 shares at $16.01 for a value of $133,907. In June, he sold 18,811 shares for a total value of $336,528 when the stock price was $17.89.
Over the last two years, WWE Films division president Joel Simon had only sold stock once prior to this week. Documents filed on Tuesday indicate he disposed of approximately 14 percent of his stock for $103,952.
Other significant sellers were Shane and Stephanie McMahon, who only disposed of 224 and 209 shares, respectively. John Laurinaitis, VP of Talent Relations, sold 4,779 shares for a value of $76,511.
The price of WWE stock dipped below $16.00 per share at the close of business on Tuesday for the first time since June 29, when the stock was impacted by the Chris Benoit story.
With the recent dip in ratings and awful house show attendance numbers this is not suprising to say the least. The McMahons are very wooried at this point as things continue to get worse and worse. Not only is buisness bad but the media is hot on their heals and changes are going to have to be made soon or the you know what is going to hit the fan.

If Vince would listen to the fans more, instead of thinking he knows what we want better than we do. The line between Vince McMahon and "Mr. McMahon" just gets getting blurrier and blurrier

I say give Cena one more year as champ, that would definitely improve things.

WWE, if they continue this way, will simply be extinct. They need to fire worthless people like Santino, Khali, Snitsky, Henry, ect and then maybe listen to their fans a bit more.

I say give Cena one more year as champ, that would definitely improve things. Oh sure it would. Seriously, did you not read what it said above?? If not, let me point it out for you again. Oh yeah, having Cena as champ is doing wonders apparently. Dip in ratings, awful house show attendance and the fact that business is bad. I say if they give one more year of Cena as champ, they'll be out of business. That's what I say.

This isn't all coincidence.
Dropping ratings + losing stock + fans losing interest = a major change needed
Cena, Khali, Lashley, they all don't have what it takes, apparently.

Yeah, I dont think the Orton/Cena fued is doing anything good. I think they should just bring back Khali to Raw and fued with Cena. Give Mark Henry Smackdown's belt!

Um the Cena orton fued just started in the last minute of RAW last monday. Give it some damn time! And if Henry wins the belt, WWE will be out of buisiness.

It was a joke, even i don't want Cena to hold the title much longer because his title run is getting too stale.

^ Man, screw Khali. He can't wrestle worth crap. Sure, he's a huge monster, but Cena already embarassed him like 3x in a row. I can't take him seriously anymore after that.
What they need is a decent wrestler. Someone that can entertain, put on great matches and draw a crowd.
What they NEED is someone to come back like Chris Jericho, or Brock Lesnar or Stone Cold Steve Austin or The Rock. Hell, maybe even Hulk Hogan or Goldberg could do the trick.
Bottom line, what they are doing now and have been doing flat out sucks and isn't good for business and this proves it. They need to make a change and they'd better do it soon.

This could mean the end of the number 1 promotion in the USA and Europe, maybe even the world. What will happen to this forum? Without Jakks' figures, this forum may be on thin ice.

I don't get how people think Jericho will save wrestling. The business started to go down when he was the Undisputed Champ. He is a great performer, but not a World Champ.
Goldberg won't save anything. Hogan neither.
Vince is trying to make superstars that will carry the business. I get that. But having Cena untouchable does not help. And unfortunately Orton is still crap after all of these years. Let him go.

I really hope that they do something, because less money for WWE means less money for Jakks which means less figures. And if WWE goes out of buisiness, then all of our wrestling figure collections will be obselete! Then, after WWE is done, TNA will pick up the scraps and the only way to get current superstars is to buy TNA figures which dont fit WWE scales. I think WWE going out of buisiness is a big conspiracy to screw our wrestling figure collections. Oh yeah.
Or it could just simply be that WWE has three "World" champions which make no sense. Give the WWE title to Jeff Hardy. That will be more ratings, at least more than Cena. Also, how about some actuall tag team wrestling? How bout a feud between Cade and Murdoch and London and Kendrick? That would be a quality match. Or, how bout re hiring Jericho, Goldberg, Lesnar, The Rock, Stone Cold, and Hogan? Pretty hard, but just one of those guys would make ratings skyrocket. When they get Taker, HHH, HBK, Rey, and Edge back, im sure WWE will be stable again.

The only people who would make a difference would be Rock and Austin.

most definitely. 'till WM24. Not a bad idea tbh Yep, and I wasn't even joking. Have him beat everybody on Raw throughout 2006, and then he turns heel and talks crap about how nobody can beat him. Undertaker comes out and challenges him to a match at Wrestlemania 24, title vs. streak.

The fact that people are cllosers in this thread to have Hulk Hogan and JEFF HARDY win the WWE Championship hows why the company is better off in the McMahon's hands than internet smarks.
UMM, why does c l a m o r i n g get changed to cllosers?
