I just thought of when it was up by the tron. It didn't seem all that strange at the time but what did they do it for now that I think about It? Just for the sake of being different than Smackdown?

I think it had something to do with Bischoff being GM as in WCW they had their announcers up by the entrance ramp for atleast a little while. they moved JR and King shortly before Bischoff got the boot... If I remember correctly that is...

I always used to wonder where the WCW announcers were sat. It got me confused with the 'internet table' ringside. ;[

yeah it was because that's how it was set up in WCW during their glory run. The nWo was infamous for going up there and heckling the hell out of Bischoff( pre-NWO), Schiavone, etc.

Kind of liked it up there, Jerome and Jim looked amusing there

I hated it up there. It was fine for WCW, but not WWE.

I'd love for WCW to be back. To think Vince was thinking of replacing with SD with Nitro or Thunder during the invasion, hence the WCW only matches (Booker T v Buff Bagwell - WCW title, changed set)
