WWE officials were told today by Neilsen that there was a technical issue that affected the listed ratings of several programs, with Raw being one of those programs. A new revised rating has not come out at this point.

Its not an excuse. An excuse would be "Our rating was low because *insert Superstars Name* wasn't on the show or something else." This was legit reasoning for the Rating being low. No excuses here.

Look at the title. Raw: Tech. Issues Might have caused lower rating. I don't see how this counts as the WWE making excuses. It was Nielsen that is saying there was technical issues, no one in the WWE is making these excuses...

So when a news site reports something negative against WWE it's a bad, horrible, no good, liar, money wanting, evil scam; but when they report something that benefits WWE they are completely a totally reliable and trustworthy source relied upon throughout the universe?
Is that how it works here?

Last time I check that is an excuse.. or maybe we're just stupid. do people on this board don't know how to read? seriously dude... the rating company said it...NOT WWE "WWE officials were told today by Neilsen" that's the first line of it...i know most people on here seem to have trouble reading and comprehending large amounts of text...but you should be able to get in those 7 words without becoming confused...

Or do they always release statements about tech difficulties?

It was Nielsen that is saying there was technical issues, no one in the WWE is making these excuses... Which way are you using "excuse"? I'm using it as when you go to the Doctor during school & you need an excuse to make sure you don't get in trouble with school. This is an excuse for the rating being low because of tech. troubles...
