I'd be lying if I said that I was upset, but it does suck to see him go.

I'm guessing b/c he got hurt last night, which sucks. He wasnt' used right so its WWE's fault, he could have been a good midcarder.

Obviously can't say I'm surprised. Wasn't the same Sandman anyways, so won't miss him much.

oh well, to tna again i suppose Funny thing is, for as many Hardcore-type matches that TNA has (at least one per PPV it seems, be it a bar brawl, a Lethal Lockdown, a House of Fun, prison yard, etc.), Sandman really wouldn't fit into any of them. He'd probably be good for one HoF match with Raven and that's it.

I wonder why. I thought Vince liked his character. Plus he was treated pretty well by Vince (for an ECW original).
I hope we at least get CS figures.

His matches lately have been pretty dreadful, to say the least.
Sandman was always entertaining to me in the original ECW, but since he returned to WWE, he's been pretty mediocre at best.
Not a huge loss, but kind of surprising it happened right in the middle of his mid-card feud with Santino.

well...I don't think there was much he had left to contribute....really....what did he contribute since resigning you know?
But we can't really be that upset. I mean, how many guys who were in their prime back in 97/98 are still employed and are on the current roster now? Triple H? Taker? HBK? Sandman is nowhere near the level of those guys. Good that he got one last run though. Hopefully he was paid well and saved his money.

How weird, he was in a match last night, and was one of the final 3 in the ring in the Vince's son thing. The recent report I read that he was ok after hurting his leg, then I went to WWE.com and saw he was released....weird...yeah it sucks, I have always been a fan of his.

Source - Wrestling Observer Newsletter
Karlene Boutwell of Nashville, Tennessee will be getting a jury trial in a $100,000 lawsuit filed against Sandman (James Fullington) and WWE. The case is scheduled to be heard on November 4th. Boutwell alleges that she injured her back, aggravated a pre-existing condition, and was exposed to Sandman's blood while he was making his entrance during the August 8, 2006 edition of ECW on Sci-Fi.
WWE attempted to get the case thrown out after they released footage that didn't show anything out of the ordinary. WWE is has also argued that they shouldn't even be listed in the lawsuit since Sandman is not an employee, but an independent contractor.
hopefully his means no 90 day no compete
