I wonder if he will surrender at No Mercy? Or if he will loose fast or what? Im not going to lie im glad hes losing the title but injuries must be a lame way to lose your belt.

Damn. This sux. No matter how much people dislike him, no champ should ever relinquish the title due to injury.
On a side note, I smell a perfect opportunity for a Orton Screw Job and have Jericho win the gold! LOL. How awesome would that be?

There's no denying he had an amazing run with amazing PPV matches in the past year. He was and is the ideal WWE Champion of today. News Flash: Cena getting injured does not transform a year of bull **** into something "amazing" and "idealistic." I'd rather watch Sid Vicious be a WWE Champion and get carried to good matches by Shawn Michaels than see another Cena vs Umaga/Khali/PPV Tag Match/Nonsense 5-Man match/DQ vs Orton/Shawn Michaels in a match where Cena was obviously carried. So Shawn Michaels wrestled himself then did he ? I think not. There's no such thing as getting carried. That's just something marks like to say when they are trying to critisize someone...and failing horribly at doing so...

I'm starting to think this is just another setup for "Cena Overcomes the Odds: Part 59". With all of this "Cena vows to compete on Sunday no matter what" and "Cena must relinquish the title" and whatnot. I'm guessing he'll show up, fight thru a bunch of "doctors" and win the title. Just a guess, but considering how WWE works sometimes, I wouldn't put it past them to do it. So, until I see the actual scan of the medical report, I won't believe it. PS: No, I am not a Cena mark. The only 2 reason I will not agree with this is : They have never used Dr James Andrews in a fake injury and they stripped him of the title. If they left it more open maybe , but they have point blank said , no Cena Sunday and he is no longer the champ

It's a shame for Cena. Busting his ass like no other for along time, he should have been able to lose it in a match.
It will be a breath of fresh air though.

I'm very happy he's losing the title but what this means he's going to be getting the WWE championahip back when he comes back. It will be even worse than before, sadly. He will be unstoppable and overcome the odds even more than before!

Terrible. Granted, I'll be the first one to say I want to see John Cena lose the title, but I wanted to see him actually LOSE it, not have to forfeit it due to injury.
Not to mention, I don't want to stop seeing Cena, I just want to stop seeing him as champion.
This way, when he does come back, he'll get the title right off the bat again, and go back to being his stale self.
The people rejoicing over his injury need to find something better to do, though. Honestly, you're happy about a man being taken away from what he loves to do. I don't care how much you dislike him, that's just stupid.

Did Benoit carry MVP in their matches ? No. But two can play the game of "who carried who".

So Shawn Michaels wrestled himself then did he ? I think not. There's no such thing as getting carried. That's just something marks like to say when they are trying to critisize someone...and failing horribly at doing so... Really? So, Ric Flair didn't have to carry guys to hour long matches back when he was NWA Champion? And Undertaker never had to carry all of those guys like Kama, Mabel, and others? Oh, and how could I be so stupid to think that Bret Hart carried guys like Yokozuna and The Mountie! David Flair really was that good that Hennig and Windham didn't have to carry him! Wow! Face it, there are ring generals and guys who shouldn't step in between the ropes. Cena does his best work in hardcore matches, which is what made his feud with Umaga bearable. But at Wrestlemania, he was carried by Shawn Michaels. There's no "you're just a mark" or "Cena can hold his own", it doesn't matter. Shawn carried Cena like he carried everyone else in matches over a decade ago. No such thing as getting carried? Ha. So you believe in getting carried ? Did Benoit carry MVP in their matches ? No. But two can play the game of "who carried who". There's a clear difference in MVP/Benoit and Cena/HBK. The major difference is MVP controlling the majority of the ring work in a truly technical match. Cena/HBK had 20 minutes of Shawn working on Cena's leg, Cena no-selling, and an occassional clothesline here or there.
