PWHeadlines >> WWE News >> Major Update on HBK - Not Returning to RAW? Reported By Patrick W. Boucher on Tuesday, October 2 2007 According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Shawn Michaels has been telling Triple H that he is on the fence about returning and really doesn't know how much wrestling he wants to do. He said his family is his top priority, his knees are in bad shape, and is devoting more of his time to religion, which is his passion right now. Triple H has been trying to convince Michaels to return to television, even though he isn't ready to wrestle, due to a lack of depth on the roster. HBK hasn't opted for it. It appears a key issue in the possible return of Shawn Michaels to WWE will be if he can secure a reduced travel schedule. Source: PWHeadlines.com Honestly, I would miss him & everything but I understand why Michaels doesn't know if he wants to return.

If Shawn Michaels leaves then I have no reason to bother watching RAW or any WWE program for that matter.
I however do think he will return.

If he wants to call it quits then let him. The man gave us a lot of great matches to remember him for, now let him go and raise his kids in peace.

I dont really blame him, what is there really for him to do? DX again? Yeah a title run would be nice, but I think the reason Triple H wants him to return could very well be the reason hes staying away, lack of depth and talent on the roster. HBK has nothing left to prove or accomplish in the wwe.

From a wrestling fans point of view that would suck big. He has every reason to not want to come back. What else is there to do??? I don't want him to be like Flair and stick around way to long and make himself look bad. He deserves to retire and go out however he wants.

Well look at it this way... when he was injured in 1998 everyone thought his wrestling career was pretty much over. He not only returns in 2002 but stays for 5 years and puts on some great matches. I say the WWE should give him a schedule like Undertaker and only use him in big feuds. Michaels is still more than capable of putting on good matches and if I was in charge of running things in the WWE I'd do all I could to get HBK to return. I mean... he carried John Cena to a great match at WrestleMania so he clearly still has it in him.

If he doesn't want to come back.. noone can make him really. Not Triple H, not Vince Mcmahon, noone: "devoting more of his time to religion, which is his passion right now." That sentence tells me it's going to come down to what Michaels thinks "God's plan" for him is

If he's unsure, then he should stay away for now. Never go back to something that you aren't sure about because the passion won't be there. If he's 100% sure that he wants back into wrestling, then he'll be back.

I understand his point of view. I have no problem with him not returning to a regular schedule, especially after working a full schedule for five years when it was thought he'd only be able to work one match and still consistently being one of the best wrestlers week in and week out. However if I may be selfish for a minute, I'd really hate it if our last memory of HBK in a ring was getting pummelled by Orton. He needs to go out on a much better note than that. Just one more match at a WM. Please.

If its true. And we've seen the last of "The Showstopper", "The Main Event", "The Icon", "Mr. Wrestlemania" then i just want to say... thank you Shawn. For everything that you've given us over the years. The blood, the sweat, the tears...damnit Shawn, you are truly one of the greatest to ever enter the Squared Circle.
