What Does It Take To Become A Legend In Today's Wrestling World. We Here All The Time About People One Day Going In The Hall A Fame.
But Just Because You Is In The Hall Of Fame Do Not Make You An Legend.
So What Makes Are Wrestling Superstars Legends, What Does It Take To Get To That Level.
I Am NOT talking About Wrestlers From The 1970 and 1980. I Am Talking About 1990-2007

To be on the top of the wrestling world for many years. To carry the company, hold mutltiple title reigns, headline PPVs, headline WrestleManias... Being over with the crowd etc... IMO

Almost all the hall of famers are legends with exception of the celebrities and james dudley
What hollywood Legend said is pretty acurate for this day in age if you carried the company whether you were a good wrestler or not you are a future legend so sorry but John Cena is on his way to reaching legend status as much as you may hate to hear it.
A legend isn't always a good wrestler, a legend in my terms is someone who breaks barriers and stood the test of time stuck around for a good while and is well known when talked about 10 years later... and that doesnt have to be an amazing wrestler

Almost all the hall of famers are legends with exception of the celebrities and james dudley James Dudley is really a legend in his own right...he was, after all, the first black promoter of any note.

I think they have to be really good at what they do...If they get the fans to boo/cheer them, that is very important...Look at the Dudleyz...They did w/e they could to get over heel/face...And they did and got/get HUGE reactions

To be on the top of the wrestling world for many years. To carry the company, hold mutltiple title reigns, headline PPVs, headline WrestleManias... Being over with the crowd etc... IMO Bullshit. Sid Vicious pretty much hits all of those notes, and a guy like British Bulldog, who falls short on a few of those, is 10x the legend Sid ever was. Basically, to be a legend, you need longevity, passion, and the ability to hit it off with the crowd. The longer you're in a company like the WWE, the more noteworthy you'll be when people reminisce on the "greats of their day." Passion is key, because the ones that go out there, don't get bored, and give it there all every night are the ones who get noticed. And yes, you have to be over. Shelton Benjamin won't ever be ranked with the likes of Chris Jericho and Shawn Michaels simply because he can't connect with a crowd. I don't care how great a wrestler you are, if people sit in their seats or go to get a hot dog when you're music plays, there's nothing legendary about you. Yes, popularity and main event status helps a lot. But really, who is ranking Batista in the "greats" category?

Yes, popularity and main event status helps a lot. But really, who is ranking Batista in the "greats" category? WIN! To me titles have nothing to do with it. Look at Roddy Piper, legend, never a world champion, he didn't need it. He explained it in his book like "titles are for people who can't get over". He's regional belts, had a IC title run, US title run, and tag title run. He never needed any of those, all he had to do was talk and the crowd knew him. I think over time it's gonna be interesting to see who can reach that status. Guys from the 90s to now like Rock, Undertaker, Austin, Raven, Sabu, Foley, etc, are legends to me. Although ECW as whole is a legend, they revolutionized an industry, they're bigger legends than Austin will be. As a whole ECW made wrestling what it is. It may sound odd to call and entire company a legend but it's true.

To me, its making an impact on the wrestling industry. Not just being a champion several times, I think you have to have made a HUGE impact and been one of the top stars and draws of their time.

Proper grammar, capitalization and punctuation. You, and your kiss ass followers, are real pricks. "I'm funny, I can correct people's spelling on my computer." Does that build up your self-esteem and make you feel important?

How about actually replying to the guy's post, instead of criticizing his grammar and punctuation... For s sake this is a wrestling forum, i'm pretty sure most of us on here aren't the brightest of the bunch anyways.
