I say go the late ECW route with one PPV every 2 months.
Royal Rumble (JAN) Wrestlemania (MAR) King of the Ring (MAY) Great American Bash (JULY) SummerSlam (SEP) Survivor Series (NOV)

I actually am a little dissapointed about their decisions to drop PPVs because I think that the more matches they could give us, the better. Plus, I never pay for PPVs anyway so this just takes away the hype for a PPV event. www.cabletheft.com/

If someone is being kind enough to show a free stream then why not take advantage of it? Thousands of people who can't afford PPVs (including myself) do it and until someone gets caught there's nothing wrong with it. Paying $500 a year for PPVs is crazy so streams are the way to go.

Also make one of the SNME's all Hardcore. Have a title defended at every PPV in the Main Event and have a number one contendership be at every SNME.

Good, less PPV's means they mean more which means people will be intrested to buy since they will have nough time to build feuds and matches ^ Exactly. I wish WWE would have like 8-10 PPVs and have like a 2 hour PPV-like show shown on TV similiar to WCW's Clash of the Champions.

It's a great idea, because I for one found it completely idiotic when WWE was hosting a ppv every 2 weeks in mid 2007, for example:
Backlash(2 weeks)Judgment Day(2 weeks)ONS(2 weeks)Vengeance

This is great new they should have the big 4 and then have No way out, Backlash, no Mercy and Amragedon I agree.. These are always my favorite PPV (themes)

To be honest, I think it would be tons more entertaining this way. It would make some feuds mean something. And it would also make for more exciting regular TV in my opinion. They could have small feuds leading into bigger feuds to give other wrestlers chances to shine in the main events. AND, if WWE only had like 4 PPVs imagine ticket sales! Also, lesser ppvs could lead to more ppv-caliber matches being shown on all three brand's television shows each week. I really wish WWE would cut down on their number of ppvs; 6 or 8 at the very most would be plausible.

WWE will never drop back down to four, six or even eight PPV's unfortunately. It's always gonna be 12 or more.

I've been a huge fan of the idea of 6 PPV's a year. It helped when the brand split took place & each show had about 2 months to build storylines.

WWE aren't gonna drop down to that many PPV's, it would be an idiotic move for them. They know they are shelling out 200,000 hardcore buys every PPV bigger on the big 4. Them reducing PPV's would mean TNA would run monthly PPV's and attract more buyers who want their PPV fix.
Sometimes I too think they are a bit crammed and I hope they do only do 1 a month (which their never gonna drop beneath) because I am basically only buying 1 a month anyway.

Each show had the option of utilizing the two months to build storylines, but they rarely did. They'd spend one month building up to a special PPV-esque edition of their show, and then spend the next month scurrying to put together storylines for the PPV.

There should only be 6 - 8 PPVs a year. 7 would be a happy medium.
