I've always loved the art of wrestling, the actual moves, gimmicks, electricity, selling, theatrics, production, physicality, fitness and the passion. Wrestlings been a lifetime interest and almost a secret passion .
I'd love to give it a go, or just be an observer at a school. I did some reading around and lookd at some local schools (Im in the UK), and the closest one to me is dropkixx, which seems pretty decent and has produced some nice wrestlers. I might pop down there soon
Anyone actually stepped up and begun wrestling, or have tried it out in the past? What's your experiences? Did you jus think, the hell with it and you went for it? did it kill off your passion, or do you love it even more....

I tried a while ago. I used to go to different shows and training centers. I did have a squash match in ICP's JCW. Worst experience ever, they are such a s sholes.

The wrestling business is full of scumbags and bungholes.
But wrestling in a ring is fun, pro training is a lot of work, a lot.

I plan on training one day in the future. But right now, I'm only 14, so I just work out everyday and play Football for High School to keep shape.

I trained for roughly a year at UPW (John Cena, Victoria, Masters, Spanky all came through there). I was taught by some great wrestlers that deserve to be on TV (Aaron Aguilera and The Ballard Brothers). I also got some one night training from Cena and RVD. Got 2 concussions within two weeks and ended up moving home and taking a year off. Just started up again a few months ago and recent made my debut for New Wave Pro Wrestling. Im doing well there and am getting better all the time. Weve got a big show coming up in January. I love to wrestle and it is a LOT of hard work. All I can say is that its very tough and take a lot out of you mentally and physically. Im going to the doctor for a broken thumb tommorow

I'm not built to be a wrestler. You do have to have a certain look to be sucessful, otherwise I think it's a good way to get banged up and make no money. I'd be interested in the backstage side, but even then the travel schedule is just too much for me. I couldn't handle being on the road 4 days a week 51 weeks a year.

I pretty much taught myself and I think I am very good, not bragging, just saying. Of course I talked to a few wrestlers, got some pointers. I've worked a couple of matches here in Canada, I'm looking to go to Lance Storm's wrestling school to even further my wrestling ability.

Years ago, the only one in my area was the Wild Samoan's Training Camp in Whitehall, PA. At the time, I didn't have the $3,000 for the course. A few months later I was told to try Damien Kane's Wrestling School in Reading, PA. I'm glad I didn't go there. I heard some bad things about his training, and now he's nowhere to be seen. Not to sound like a know-it-all, but I'm glad I never went. The way the wrestling business is today, I'm ashamed to call myself a fan.
