Despite being held on a pedestal, having a highly built return and the power to negotiate himself some great terms, Chris Jericho still has his doubters in the company. There have always been people in management that feel Y2J is not main event material and don't think his promo style "sells Matches." Thus there was some apprehension in thrusting him straight in to the main event. Triple H is one person that isn't 100% behind Jericho and has gone as far as to back Jeff Hardy for a push over Y2J. The recent pairing of The Game and Hardy is Hunter's real life respect for Hardy coming through. He sees him as a hard worker who is deserved on Jericho's current spot. Jericho's performance will be watched like a hawk for the next few months. Source: www.wrestlezone.com/article.php?articleid=197603377

I don't really mind that much. Y2J was a mid-carder for his last few years. Now that he comes back after ditching the WWE for over two years, everyone is calling for him to be champion. I'm no Hardy fan, but he has stepped it up from his past troubles. It's just that people on here are really biased. When Eddie Guerrero was overcoming his troubles, everyone praised him. When Hardy does the same, everyone knocks on him. I think this is a way for HHH to send Y2J further down more than it is to send Hardy further up.

Exactly what I said( minus the Jeff part) when the Save.us stuff first began. Jericho will never win the big one again, and will be back in Intercontinental Title hell within 6 months. WWE doesn't see him as a main eventer, which is why he was only ( transitional) champ once.
People called me a party killer when I was just being a realist.

Personally I think both deserve a main event place, it would be nice to see someone different in the title picture besides the same people.

But, HHH must really be jealous of Jericho or something. Nobody in their right mind would choose Jeff over Jericho. Jeff couldn't clean Jericho's damn boots, let alone deserve anything over him.

Im a fan of both, but Jeff Hardy is in NO WAY a main eventer. Jericho, however, is.

No doubt both performers are way over with the crowed, but Jericho can not only wrestle up a storm, but also talk on the mic. That's something Hardy can't do as well. Jericho is main event material simply because he can connect with the crowed. Jeff can as well, but Jericho has that extra something.

Triple H needs to shut the up and know when someone comes who can help WWE when they really aren't doing as good as they could, he needs to step back. He's just jealous because he isn't as good as Jericho in anyway.

The only good thing Jeff does is botch all his moves. Y2J does everything good.
Hell Y2J > HHH
Hunter must be jealous

Saying Jericho doesn't have promo skills to sell matches is very beyond me. He has some of the greatest mic skills of any wrestler to grace the ring, bar none! How the does Jeff have anything close to beating Jericho mic wise, or ring wise. I see that as bullcrap. Not what you said, but the fact WWE will never see him as more than a transitional champion. I'm not the biggest Cena hater ever, but Y2J deserves the belt a lot more than him.

you guys are all on crack...
Jeff Hardy is amazing in the ring and i agree with HHH, He deserves a title shot. Hes entertaining as hell, is EXTREMELY over with the crowd and the one time he did get a title shot (vs.Undertaker in the Ladder Match) they put on a great match. Bash me as much as you want but... Jeff as champ > Y2J as champ

You'd push a man with a history of lazyness and drug abuse, who has been suspended recently for no-showing over a man who has worked hard for 15 years in different countries around the world to be considered one of the best ever in his craft. ...yeah, makes sense. QF ingT!

Glad to see that Jeff Hardy actually has a chance, but HHH is wrong about Jericho.
