Vince actually dies? They've already played out his death on television complete with the bell ringing, the heartfelt comments from WWE stars, Stephanie crying, etc. What is going to happen when Vince's new job is not owning WWE, but pushing up daisies? The same thing we're getting now?
It's my opinion that Vince McMahon backed his legacy into a corner with this angle. When Vince actually dies, the impact won't be nearly as huge as it could, and should have been. The bells will ring, the WWE superstars will give their heartfelt comments, and Stephanie will indeed cry. But will the fans? Should the fans, including myself, care as much about a man's death that we've already seen played out on television? Take my viewpoint into consideration before responding. Thanks.

I thought about this too, man. I don't really know what to say or think, I guess we'll just have to wait for the unfortnuate day when Vince does indeed die.

Definitely. I mean, you never know when he's actually gonna die, could be this year, could be 5, could be 20..

I agree. This angle does put a little bit of a damper on the real death of Mr. McMahon, when it happens of course. His death got more airtime, and depth, into it that Eddie Guerrero's death. When Vince dies, people will do the whole remembering thing and mention this storyline, saying that he shouldn't have teased death. I, as a fan, don't think I'll actually give two craps about it when he dies. I'll be disturbed by his death sure, but the tribute show that will take place afterwards will make me not want to watch that evening.

Definitely. Hopefully he doesn't die for at least another 20 years so it won't be as fresh in peoples minds..

What if he died while this whole storyline was still going on It most likely won't happen but what if it did. Knowing WWE, they'd probably use it to further this storyline, at least that's what Vince would want.

Guys, you do realise that Vince will die in about 30/40 years or so. By this time he'll have retired and won't have much control over the business. Also, none of us will have remembered this storyline, so in my opinion, it really has no effect. If he dies now though (or in a few years), then yeah, that would suck. I wouldn't even know whether to believe it..

I thought about this a few days ago. My only concern is the fact that it may lose some of it's sadness because it will have already happened and been simulated.

and this goes in one of the million stickied threads But you'll survive if it doesn't, won't you? Guys, you do realise that Vince will die in about 30/40 years or so. I highly doubt that... his father and grandfather before him died around the age of 70. Vince is in his early 60's. I give him 10-15 years tops. That isn't a very long time in terms of wrestling history... considering this is a pretty hyped up storyline, it will easily be recalled when Vince's unfortunate passing occurs.

I was thinking the same thing. Could you imagine if he dies in the next year or so.
There really going to regret doing this storyline.

I guess they're hoping he won't kick the bucket for a few good years...and he's only 60 something, he's got a good chance of going another 2 or 3 decades.
However, yeah, it's another amazingly stupid thing by the wwe. In all aspects of their business they just completely refuse to think things forward.

Yeah I think it will be very awkward, which is why I'm entirely against the idea of the whole angle. I mean, death can accure at anytime, what if Vince dies during this angle? I feel it was in bad taste, but no matter how lnog he lives, when he actually dies, this will be brought up.
