I attended the Macon, GA Smackdown show last night. I was very disappointed. 1)- no Flair - radio ads were misleading 2) - Kane is badly out of shape 3) Matt Hardy vs. MVP was a "resthold" fest 3) - Funaki wrestled a jobber (Rough House O'Reilly) I thought Funaki was a jobber Has anybody else been let down by a WWE house show?

After going to two TNA shows in a row this summer (June/July) the Raw live event in Aug. was average to me. Very predictable also.

The only time I've ever been disappointed was a WCW house show back in 2000. They had no big name stars. No Hogan, Goldberg, Sting, Macho Man, DDP, Hall, Nash, Konnan...I only remember guys like Jarrett, Flair, Booker, Lex leading the card.

^^^
That's the way house shows were back then. And you STILL got big names. I can't believe you're disappointed about Konnan not being there, yet you had Ric Flair there.

The first WWE one I went to. They advertised Triple H to be there, and he wasnt. Then when the show started they said Hunter would not be there and that we could go to the box office to get a refund if wanted. Then the main event was supposed to be RVD vs Angle, but RVD was caught up in traffic so he couldnt make it. Keep in mind this is in Kalamazoo MI, like 20 minutes away from Battle Creek MI so there are alot of RVD fans in attendance, so the show sucked, only good match was Lesnar (pre TV debut) vs Spike, it was fun seeing a guy that hasnt made it on TV that was a total badass. At the very end Angle talked smack to the crowd, RVD runs from the crowd and attacks him, and does the 5 Star Frog Splash. Was a really bad show. Every other one I have gone to has been great.

I went to a few really awesome house shows back in 1998 there was a house show with the main event Austin/Owen/Cactus Jack vs Rock & New Age Outlaws in Louisville KY (this was mentioned in Foley's book when he talks about Owen Hart memories
Then I went to a house show in 2002 that saw Austin vs Flair/Big Show in a cage that was a good one as well
But I went to a ECW/Smackdown house show in January that blew hard there was no Sabu or Sandman and Dreamer was squashed by Khali and it was main evented by Lashley vs Test. the only thing cool about the show was I saw Deuce and Domino be4 the debuted

Yeah the Smackdown show at Louisville Gardens last year. Suppose to have Batista vs Booker in a Cage match, instead we got Batista vs Henry vs Finlay. Rey and Booker no showed.

Seems like I have been lucky, but the only House Shows I have went to have been at Rupp Arena in Lexington, I guess the WWE brings their A game when they go to Rupp.

Last one I ever went to it was Batista Vs Lesnar in the main event. Was pretty cool. Yet again this was YEARS ago.

Nah, the house shows i went to, i bearly paid attention to the matches. The WWE comes here once every 1-2 years so the mere fact of them being there was enough for me, and i had a few cool experiences throughout the day to top it off.
