Personally for some reason, even after getting a pin over HHH and Randy Orton two nights in a row, I don't see Jeff Hardy as a main eventer. It's fairly obvious that he's going to lose at the Royal Rumble. And honestly, I can't see him as much more than maybe a mid to upper mid carder. So I guess the question is, does Jeff Hardy seem like a main eventer to anyone? I mean, no one can question that he is definately over (which demographic he's over with is another story) and he is a lot more entertaining than a handfulof other main eventers. But can he really be taken seriously as a main eventer, or a credible title contendor?

If pushed right, anyone can be a main evetner...Rey was, so Jeff could be. only I will never see either as deserving of a world title

He feels like one of the most over guys on the roster to me, so yeah, go with him.

Jeff Hardy is the most over guy in the company. Which is perfect grounds to push him and put the title on him. Simple as that.

Did you see how nuts the crowd went when he was putting Orton in the twist of fate? Now I call that a reaction. Give him the strap while hes hot.

No. Ive never liked him, and never ever will. His matches are all the same, he gets the **** beat out of him, comes back with a mule kick, a few fast moves, a botched whisper in the wind, a twist of fate and swanton bomb. I do not think he can carry the WWE title let alone the WWE. Yes he has a fan base, but hes just not WWE Championship material. Hes been fired for drug use in the past, and has no showed when he wasnt with the WWE, now I understand that in the past, but Jeff Hardy and the WWE title just dont click for me.
Plus Matt > Jeff any given day. Matt is way more deserving in the push Jeff is getting.

I think so and I wouldn't be surprised one bit if he did get the belt and have a short reign. Since Cena is out for a while yet to come, they've got to eventually put the belt on someone who is over with the crowd and who the crowd likes and Jeff Hardy is certainly over to say the least.
Like I said though, it wouldn't surprise me one bit if Jeff Hardy got the WWE title at some point.

Even then, Matt and Jeff should end Mania with a Benoit/Eddie moment.

Jeff is on top right now. Looking very good for him to be a future world champion.

Simply put, no. Jeff Hardy has been criticized for years as a spot machine, and while I do believe that from a business perspective the validity to that claim is irrelevant, he still is not main even material. Even "little ol'" TNA knew that, as he was never given the NWA Championship to run with. He's over, he can do spots, he can even be pushed as a moderate threat to the world championship AT TIMES (summer of '02 vs. Taker in the ladder match is an example), but he isn't trustworthy, he lacks microphone skill, and he isn't at a "main event level" version of overness, and with over a decade of experience under his belt, I doubt he ever will be.

Me being a HUGE Hardy fan says yeah. But he will either be an Owen Hart, and never get the title, or WWE will make him an RVD, and not give him the WWE Title until his popularity dies down.

i think he needs a legit feud where the fans don't view it as another guy letting jeff look better than him..he needs a good feud the fans get behind and really do want to see jeff persevere, say maybe a feud with jericho in a shortwhile.

Believe it or not, I think he deserves it. The guy has been w/ the company for a while, can put on a good match. He needs to push up his persona a little and work on mic skills, but otherwise he's pretty good. He's is EXTREMELY over so I think business-wise, it's a good idea.

I don't mind Jeff Hardy, but if he's ever going to be a main eventer, he needs MAJOR improvement on the mic.

It's obvious Orton will win and face the Rumble winner (Jericho at Mania) But maybe somewhere afterwards, maybe.
