With WWE 24/7 showing old Nitros and Raws, and with the 15th anniversary RAW DVD containing a bonus disc of the COMPLETE first episode of RAW, it got me thinking...
If WWE released DVD season sets of TV shows like Raw, SmackDown, Nitro etc. Would you buy them?
And, do you think this will ever happen?
personally I would buy the complete Raw, SmackDown, Nitro and Thunder as long as they were complete and unedited. And I'd like to see full WCW PPVs on DVD too.
But I don't think it will ever happen, especially not WCW stuff. And I wouldn't buy them if they were edited either. "Best-Of"s don't interest me either.

Yes, I would. Nitro for sure. And asking for stuff to be unedited is just being unrealistic.

asking for stuff to be unedited is just being unrealistic. yeah i know, but i'm just saying, i wouldn't buy them if they were edited. might as well stick to crappy quality original broadcast recordings. and don't forget, Silvervision is re-releasing unedited WWE PPVs over here in the UK in the "tagged classics" DVD series. so through loopholes or otherwise, however unlikely, it is possible.

Hell yes, I would buy them. Raw would definitely be my first priority, with earlier SmackDown's and mid-to-late 90's Nitro's following. Smaller shows like Superstars, Shotgun Saturday Night and WCW Saturday Night would also be great, especially for that wicked WCW Saturday Night entrance.

I would buy all of Nitro. And I would possibly buy a few Raw sets as long as the prices were reasonable

I'd be interested in these. Nitro more so than anything.

Definantly, i always thought this was a great idea. Plus it would be cool to have a Raw that you attednded live on DVD. And it would be to look back at all the matches and promos etc. I honestly dont know why they seriously have considered making these

I'd seriously love to see them release a series of Monday Nitro DVD sets, being the WCW mark that I am.

ive been saying this forever. if ya think about, 52 episodes. like 5 hour dvds, 2-3 episodes each, thats like a 24-26 dvd collection for a year.

I would not buy a whole season of a wrestling show. If they were "best of" sets similar to the Raw 15th Anniversary I'd buy them in a heartbeat. But I have no desire to sit down and watch 52 episodes of Raw (providing we're considering a whole year to equal one season) let alone multiple years worth.

Since there aren't seasons in wrestling, they would have to be broken up by years. Possibly even less than that. Each box set could be four or six months long so each year would have multiple sets. For example: WCW Nitro 1997 Vol. 1 - January 1997 through April (or June) 1997. Then Vol. 2 would be May (or July) 1997 - October (or December) 1997, etc.

Without question. Especially Raws from 97-99. I would pay top dollar for those.

I was thinking about this recently. With the high capacity HD media format they could stuff a lot of content onto one disc. They could release 3 disc Blu-Ray/HDDVD sets a few times a year.
Division by year for each release:
WWE: 1997 WCW: 1995 WWE:1989
etc.
They could do a run down of the year in a documentary style. Having every single episode unedited is just asking too much, but showcasing the best matches and most memorable moments in a detailed form would suffice. That way they could throw in extra rarities from Shotgun Saturday Night and WCW Saturday Night and the special shows like WWF Friday Night's Main Event and whatnot. I'd just love to see each year talked about in greater detail with attention on matches and segments long forgotten.

How the hell would you find the time to sit down and watch them all? Would be a total waste of money in my opinion
