I don't want to be a buzzkill but I'd have to say no. For one reason: we all moan about the creation of new stars and with guys like John Cena, Randy Orton, and Jeff Hardy all in the title picture, Flair going over would be bad for their progression. Think about it this way: Flair, all 58 years of him, goes over Randy Orton for the title. How bad does that make the guys that have challenged Orton, not to mention Randy himself, that a man WELL past his prime was able to win the gold but the younger guys (even HHH and HBK to an extent) couldn't. As memorable as Flair winning one more title might be, I can't say as though I would give it to him.

No. It would be an insult to him, giving him a title. The titles have barely any (or in CW's case, none at all) prestige, and it would insult everything he's done. I severely doubt that giving him a title would be having him "on top". Give him a main event spot, at a big-name PPV, and make him win the match. You do realize his last two title reigns happened during WCW-2000, and lasted only a few days each right? Hell his last title was GIVEN to him by Kevin Nash. Winning the title today is a lot more prestigious than winning the WCW Championship in 2000.

It'd be cool to see. But no for the following reasons:
1. Flair shouldn't be main eventing Wrestlemania.
2. He has jobbed too many times in the past few years to be world champion.
And most importantly...
3. We would have to see 18 Triple H world title reigns instead of 17.

Fact is, it doesn't mean anything if you're champ in the WWE, one look at the title history and you'll see how much it's worth. Back in WCW, they were milking Flair, right now they don't need him at all, so it would be useless.

ok just curious but everyone keeps sayin there are more people deserving of the title....lets do a quick rundown....
John Cena-People couldnt wait to get the belt off him
Batista- See John Cena
Randy Orton- 80% fans think hes stale
Jeff Hardy-.....Just no
Matt Hardy- Great athlete but will never be more then a midcard/upper midcard talent
Bobby Lashley- See John Cena and Batista
CM Punk- Has the ECW title but once he loses that hes gotta switch brands and build all new momentum to get back to the top AND Punk isnt as over as he was when he first won the ECW Title.
John Morrison- Probably the best athlete in the WWE but wont hold a World title other then ECW
Shelton Benjamin- Has just been burried toooooooooo much and has 0 charisma
The Undertaker- If hes getting title shots and runs then Flair surely deserves 1 short one. I like taker but he has to be one of the most stale wrestlers in the ring since Hulk Hogan
Edge- The only one that deserves to be a World champ and many think hes overrated
Triple H- yea like this board wouldnt be full of anti HHH threads if he won the title again
Who does that leave? MVP? JBL? Mr Kennedy? Kane? Mysterio? Khali?....sorry those guys just cant carry a company
Shawn Michaels- great performer but physically not able to handle the schedule to be champ. Flair even at 80 yo could still wrestler for 60 mins
Chris Jericho- Please this board was in such an uproar when the first save_us promo aired and within a month of him debuting people trashed him and now hes in a fued with JBL...Dont expect that to happen anytime soon.......
so seriously if you can put the strap on ANY of these guys then surely you can put the belt on Flair

I would let him have a title run, but he won the title on the night and give title back to his opponet, and announced he's retire as undefeated retire career storyline.

Give him a title run maybe, a Word Title run? No.
The only reason hes on the roster is because he cant afford to leave anyway

No. Flair is done and is not able to carry a major title. Plus, an even 16 sounds better. He is just not convincing enough.

The Undertaker- If hes getting title shots and runs then Flair surely deserves 1 short one. I like taker but he has to be one of the most stale wrestlers in the ring since Hulk Hogan WOW!!! Did you seriously just call Undertaker one of the stalest wrestlers since Hogan, while trying to defend Ric Flair?Undertaker is a master of reinvention and is still putting on MOTYC's. Shawn Michaels- great performer but physically not able to handle the schedule to be champ. Flair even at 80 yo could still wrestler for 60 mins Again, are you serious? Do you know how slow and uneventful a 60 minute Flair match would have to be at this point? Shawn Michaels not only wrestled near 60 minutes with Cena, but made the match a MOTYC and the most famed of 2007. Your argument has little worth, as you're basically just exaggerating Flair's abilities while dowplaying everyone else's. As for the question at hand... no, Flair shouldn't be World Champ. In 2002, I would've said yes in a heartbeat. It just doesn't make sense that old man river would reign supreme over a roster filled with jacked wrestlers who are much younger in comparison. Someone like Finlay who can still put on a great match and is in shape... I'd go for it because he could pull off the 'older, seasoned vet.' But Flair isn't in shape, and hasn't had a great match in years. He looks like he's literally dying when he's in the ring. Being entered in the Hall of fame is a suitable send off for Flair, anyway... but let's keep the WWE title away from the sand baggin, tittys saggin, flip floppin, always choppin son of a gun.

I don't think it'll ever come to that, but "yes"...I'd give Flair one last run.
He's better than some 20-somethings that are currently on the roster and has a passion for the business that's unparralled in that profession. At his age doing what he still does, Flair simply impresses the heck out of me. Think of someone (anyone) around Ric Flairs age and ask yourself if you can imagine that person stepping into the ring in the spotlight day-in and day-out. Ric Flair is a legend in his profession. He's a household name and anybody who considers themselves a wrestling fan surely knows who Ric Flair is and what he has accomplished. How not having him obtain one last World championship before he packs it in would be a travesty.
If I was a guy on the rise in the locker room (and I'm around the age of alot of those guys) and was approached that something like that could happen. I'd give the creative department and Flair my blessing. I grew up on Flair idolizing him on WCCW, NWA, WCW, WWF, back to WCW, and to the WWE and is one of the reasons why I started getting into wrestling which I still watch to this day. Flair getting one last taste of a World Championship wouldn't only be an ode to Flair himself but the fans that grew up watching Flair change the sport as we know it.

I'd give him one more brief title run. I'd have him win the title and then retire with it. Pretty brief huh?

I like the idea of him winning the belt and then retiring with it. It seems like the kind of move that the Dirtiest Player in the Game would make. Then we would get to see a tournament, which I enjoy greatly.
