Ric Flair Speaks On Going To TNA, HBK DVD News Date Added: October 21, 2007 Story By: Ryan Gray
Donald A Barron sent the following… I heard Ric Flair on "The Drive" on Fox Sports Radio around 2:45 PM CST, 10/19/07. He spoke about Benoit, his love for the WWE, how the 4 horsemen were created, Wrestlemania in Orlando, FL, and a caller asked him if he would ever go to TNA. He said he would never go to TNA. He said no disrespect to them but he is WWE for the rest of his career. When asked, he mentioned that one of his all time favorite matches was against Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat in Chicago back in (I think it was) 1988. I am not sure if you can download the broadcast but the interview pretty clearly shows that Ric Flair is still with the WWE and still supports them 100%. Sorry TNA fans. No Ric Flair in your future. He ended the interview with a classic "Woooooo".

What could he possibly do in TNA anyway? Win the TNA title; Lose it to Angle in a month; Get lost on the card until he's realsed.

I wish the other feds had fans who were dumb enough to think Flair and the WWE wouldn't work things out. That's though a TNA board exclusive. It's true, it's made a nice swerve, but is there a doubt that TNA is the WWE pooper scooper?

Flair in TNA wouldn't make much sense. He is too old to really have any good matches. Honestly, I am kinda glad he is off TV right now, because watching his matches are boring as hell.

Flair would be an asset no matter where he went. He might be a lotta trouble and cost a lot, but that man has a knowledge of the bussiness beyond MANY others.
Just having him backstage to hand down lessons could be good for TNA.

Flair in any group right now should not be a regular performer. However as the Head of a Horsemen style group & the odd match he'd be a great boost for any group.

Off the top of my head, he can put on better matches than these TNA wrestlers: BG James Kip James Chocolate Reign Eric Young Judas Fatu Hoyt Steiner Bros Tomko Team 3D Shark Boy Harris Storm Morgan If anything, TNA would benefit if they hired Flair.

Dunno about Tomko, Young or 3D but the others on the list I agree with
