Do you ever wonder why PPV's are held on Sundays?? Friday and Saturday are more popular nights for big events. I hated it when I was younger because I couldn't always watch them all the time because of school the next morning, or because of Sunday dinner at home. It would be cool to see Survivor Series held on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving again.

You nailed it: Friday and Saturday are the popular nights for big events.
Which means those are the nights people like to go out.
Wrestling promoters run PPVs on Sundays because the next day starts a new work/school week, meaning people are more likely to be home.

Back in the day, Royal Rumbles were on Saturdays. Wrestlemanias were on Sundays. Summerslams were on Mondays. And Survivor Series were on Thanksgivings or the day before.
Now, there are just more options and its more economically feasible for PPVs to be on Sundays now.

Because, kids now-a-days can stay up later because of the kids who hated going to bed early when they were kids. New Generations call for new parenting methods which call for WWE re organizing there schedules.

People go clubbin on Friday and Saturday. Sunday they are home because they have to go to work on Monday Morning. So they are more likely to be home watching tv. I wish they were on Saturday because I am always home on Saturday night and can stay up late where Sunday I have to go to bed before the main event.

I have no idea.. but Shocker hit the nail on the head. I wouldn't give a flying feck if it was 1am (UK TIME) on a Saturday night or Friday Night. It's silly, i also wonder why no one else thought to post this, never thought of it lol.

Traffic is one reason. Cops are funny about an event putting ten or fifteen thousand extra cars on the road on busy nights, so doing them on Sundays might be due to the venue in that way.

For the same reason popular shows are aired on Sundays as opposed to Friday or Saturday.
