If Beoit hadn't killed his family and just died of natural causes do you think WWE would still be using his name in storylines like they did with Eddie's name or do you think they'd let him rest in peace?
This has nothing to do with what you think about Benoit so please don't reply with how sick you think Benoit is or reply saying you still respect him. This is just about what you think WWE would've done under different circumstances.

I'm sure that they would have used it in some way. Maybe to have Rey win another world title.
Either way, they should at least acknowledge him in wrestling history. Murderer or not, he was still hands down one of the greatest superstars of the modern era.

Well, the only reason they DON'T mention him is because he killed them...allegedly Thank you for saying allegedly. Most people on here say "he did it, and anyone who disagrees is intellectually- disabled." Yes, evidence strongly supports that he murdered his family and then killed himself. BUT, it has yet to be proven.

90% of murder cases are yet to be proved. It just takes common sense from law enforcers and judges, whatever the case may be, to put strong evidence together and come to the conclusion that it is a homicide.
The men and women who investigated the crime scene came to the conclusion that Benoit murdered his wife and son, and who are we to doubt their findings? They were the one's at the scene, not anyone here.
/ rant
Sorry about that.

yeah this topic is going off track, I'd rather avoid another Benoit argument about whether he did it.

I'm sure they would have mentioned him, maybe not in the same light as Eddie storyline wise.

And BTW, Police and investigators are wrong about their initial decisions about 25% of the time. I learned that in a criminal justice class I took.

They should still use Benoit in a storyline now anyway. They could have it come out that Benoit killed Eddie Guerrero and have one wrestler take Benoit's side and one take Guerrero's side. Then have them have a death match at WM24. It would be cool if they did that.

Depending on your definition of "initial," of course. It's been 9 months, and there hasn't been any legitimate evidence that has even suggested anything other than cold-blooded murder... I think the word "allegedly" can officially be removed from the conversation.

We're gonna have to kill one of his close friends again so Rey can get another push.

Well, the only reason they DON'T mention him is because he killed them...allegedly Allegedly ?? what is there to dispute. HE KILLED HIS WHOLE FAMILY THEN HIMSELF. THERE WAS/IS/NEVER HAS BEEN ANY EVIDENCE WHICH SAYS HE DIDN'T. Think about it. What sane person goes about there weekend when their family died on different days in their own home? what, he didn't notice his wife was kinda dead and his son too? My god, I can't believe people are seriously this stupid...... They should still use Benoit in a storyline now anyway. They could have it come out that Benoit killed Eddie Guerrero and have one wrestler take Benoit's side and one take Guerrero's side. Then have them have a death match at WM24. It would be cool if they did that. I rest my case.....

Obviously, it's pretty much a given that he did it. But unless one of us were there, we'll never know. Either way, people need to get the over it. He's not coming back. The E doesn't want to promote a murderer(which again, who cares). Move on.

They'd honor his memory, but they wouldn't besmirch his name like they did with Eddie.
