Eh, It's not great, but it's my first time using the Shop. I struggled with the boarders, so anyone willing to help, thanks.

Its alright for a first attempt on PS, Its hard to see the font at the bottom but thats not that bad. The cut on the left hand side is cut off so tbh you need it to the left by the edge and get a better cut.
To get a good stroke you need to go layers merge all (i think) then select all (CTRL+A) and the go on edit and stroke and in this case i would put a redish border with a 1 or 2 px stroke

It was a good try and you can tell you were putting in your effort. You left some spots open where you can see the checkerboard in the back which isn't a good thing. Try downloading some Photoshop brushes from deviantart.com and read some tutorials at good-tutorials.com.

seconed try with some of your guys tips used A lot better! I'd just move the text up a bit and maybe take off the glow. Use a drop shadow at 0,0,2. You can try to give the main pic an overlay effect.

OR desaturate the pic abit using hue/saturation (CTRL+Shift+U) and with colourize not ticked done the saturation down to no more than -30
