Kinect reminds me too much of that new phone that just came out, The Kin.

It's better than Natal. At least Kinect is a play on words with Kinetic Energy. Natal is a mispronunciation of a word that means birth. BIRTH. Birth of what exactly?
And since Kinect is officially legit now, I guess that means that the 360 redesign is as good as fact too. I wish hardware developers had a trade up program. "HEY! Wanna get our new hotness? Send us your console and $xxx.xx and we'll ship you your upgrade with your licenses intact!" Especially if this new hardware isn't a piece of garbage than spontaneously combust at the worst possible time.

I am eagerly awaiting what the price point of Kinect is going to be. I really hope it isn't outrageous.

Because I like chaos, I hope it IS outrageous.

If the price is crazy I hope there is either a lot of booing or a lot of silence (Peter Moore Halo Xbox style.)

Maybe they'll pull a Saturn and announce that it's already launched and in stores at some absurd price point, only to have Sony come out later and announce their motion doohickey at a much lower price.

USAToday has a write up, and I glanced through it a couple times, and each time this line about Joyride cracks me the hell up for some reason "a racing game, lets players use their hands to hold an imaginary steering wheel"

I'm interested in the functionality of the Slim, not the design. My guess would be the obvious: No Red ringing, and no more Laser Burn.

Hopefully the slim comes with a data transfer kit. Cause if it doesn't then that wouldn't make me a happy camper

I'm still in store-warranty for another year. That gives me plenty of time to wait and find out how many slim 360s fail.

Got Kenny's hoody for my avatar. man its hard to decide on this or the Earthworm Jim suit.
Also the slim 360 sounds amazing. My Elite is starting to be loud and im thinking it might be time for an upgrade. It all just depends on how long they plan on keeping the 360 around.

Here's some info on the new 360 Slim
touch sensitive on/off and eject buttons Has ports for optical audio, A/V, HDMI, and 5 yes 5 USB ports Custom port for Kinect
Only standard A/V cables come with it.
Has only 1 large fan not 2 small ones.
Oh and the transfer software is built into the system, meaning you plug one end into the console and the other to your old HD and boom it's done.
I am without a doubt buying one of these.

Now that I've seen some better photos of it, I like the visual style of the box a lot better than I did before. I don't like the "shiny" plastic because I don't like smudging the hell out of my equipment, but yeah, it's cool looking. I don't plan on getting one any time soon since the only technological advantage the slim60 has over the phat60 is an extra 130 GB of hard drive space, and that's not worth $300 to me. If my current 360 craps out on me before my Best Buy warranty ends, I'll get it then.

This new one will be gotten only when I have extra cash, that and I might wait and see if they don't bundle Kinect with it. Also rumors are that Kinect Sports and Kinect Resort will be bundle together (both as full games I'm assuming) for $59.99. So maybe the Kinect games will be $20-$30 who knows.

YAY! Netflix search is coming to the Xbox 360 in November. Finally, cause I'm tired of having to search on the computer and then add it to my queue.

Summer of Arcade was announced, Castlevania: Harmony of Despair, Hydro Thunder Hurricane, Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light, Limbo, and Monday Night Combat.
I can't wait for most of those. Limbo is going to be great, and EVERYONE loves Hyrdo Thunder. EVERYBODY. If you say you don't, you're lying to yourself and should go on a spiritual retreat.

Interested in Castlevania, Hydro Thunder, and maybe Croft.
No idea what Limbo or Monday Night Combat is.
