Just went to Wal-Mart to check things out and there's about 10 people waiting. They are getting 20 systems. I'm gonna go back at 7 and see how many people there are and make up my mind once and for all.

I'll definitely buy the Wii when Smash Bros is available. Yeah, that should be a ton of fun, especially with the Wiimote. Im also surprisingly excited for Mario Party too. The Wiimote just really freshens up old franchises. Eh, I'd rather play Smash Bros with the Gamecude controller but that's just my stance.

Just got off the phone with people from Walmart. They tried telling me that they have a list of 20 that is already full. Just like they told me last night when I called that people were already camping outside, yet I drove by and there is nobody out there. I dont trust my Walmart. And even so, why was I not notified of this "list" when I called last night? Im still going to go out there around 10PM because I really dont trust anything they say. Its the blind leading the blind out there.

Well, today is the day. I remember first watching the e3 where the Revolution was unveiled. It was a complete mystery, and it got left in the dust due to the fact that nothing was really shown. Every Nintendo fan was aching for information. Those blog sites of "insiders" made the wait a little bit shorter. It was just entertaining to see how creative people could be with it. The Nintendo On, that visor video created by the infamous Pablo Belmonte, fooled many people...including myself, admitfully. I always wanted that video to be true. The Mario model and recycled music gave it away, but it was fun to believe for awhile. Nintendo forced their fans to wait for new information, all the while hyping up their mystery controller. I remember some of the wacky fanmade designs. Some of those were just plain awesome. Other were simply ugly contraptions. Nintendo later reveiled their controller at the 2005 Tokyo Game Show. People were curious about it. The gaming community had a hard time accepting it. When they teased the possiblities of the remote, I instantly became a huge supporter of it. I had a tough time convincing people that this was probably a great direction to go in for Nintendo. Most my gamer friends are into it now, though. Another legthy drought of information was to come. As e3 2006 approached, people were clamoring about what would happen this time. Nintendo announced that their new system would be called "Wii." I think about 4 people liked that name at first. I didn't care for the generic Revolution code-name, but Wii? Well, it grew on me. They showed off the Wii Music game at e3. That was awesome. That lucky guy in the audience got to play Wii Sports with Miyamoto. I actually got chills when they showed off the highly anticipated new Mario game. I know it's dorky, but I don't care. These games were looked forward to by so many people - it will bring them and myself joy, and that makes me smile. I always think about the little kid who will experience Mario for the first time. TGS 2006 showed us the Wii Channels, which caught everyone by surprise. I don't think anybody expected Nintendo to go that route, as they've said on numerous occasions that they aren't interested in making an entertainment center. While it's true that Wii can't play cds or dvds (yet), the web browser, news updates, weather channel, and the photo viewer were nice additions to the Wii platform. So now we're here - the Wii launches at midnight. We're finally here. I was a junior in high school when I first heard about the Wii. I've been out for half a year now. The wait seemed so long then, but now it's just around the corner. I think this whole patiently waiting experience made me realize how fast time flies by. Before we know it, the next-next generation of consoles will be on the horizon, and this will repeat itself. Crazy stuff. I'm excited. And with that, just to safe, I'm off to find a place to wait for the Wii. I feel ya, since I'm the first person on the line. Also camping. I'm getting a Classic Controller.

Walmart can eat my ass. I went out there and they told me I had to sign up on a list which they started this afternoon. Nobody there told me about this last night when I called. They also kept telling me people have been waiting outside since yesterday. Well, as I said, I drove by yesterday and nobody was there, and there wasnt anyone there today either. I went in planning on picking up two games and a nunchuk, but I just walked out. I refuse to shop at Walmart.

I decided I'm not getting one right now. I will sooner or later but it's not worth waiting in line for until midnight.

Just a question I couldn't find the answer to in the thread, I have no idea so is it possible to connect the Wii to VGA output like the 360? I'm living in University accomodation without a TV and need to know whether i'm going to need to bring my old TV from home to my room.

My advice to some, try K-Mart. That is one place that is usually thought of last, so you could have a pretty good chance there. Hell, my K-Mart had a grand total of four people in line for the PS3. Plus, they open at eight in the morning, so if you dont find one there, that gives you two hours to get to a Best Buy, Circuit City, etc... which all open at ten.

Some guy is playing Wii for an entire week, and webcamming the whole ordeal. www.xanga.com/yoshismadnessIt's pretty cool actually, I'm getting a good look of how Red Steel plays right now. He's answering questions about the system that people are asking in the chat room. He's about to pop in Zelda, ![:o](http://www.wrestlingfigs.com/images/shocked.gif) .
