400,000 Units for Japan launch, Day 1. What does Japan have to do with anything ? He was wanting to know how many there will be upon launch in the states. Well that's just for comparison, you know America is going to get s**tloads more. ZTJ - www.wii.com should answer most of your questions. ![:)](http://www.wrestlingfigs.com/images/smiley.gif)

I want more colors! We always get white, and Japan obviously gets dynamic colors...

IGN has given Call of Duty 3 on the Wii a 7.7. Who would buy Call of Duty 3 on the Wii anyway?

Im going to try and buy one on Sunday. Im thinking it will be a lot easier to get one as most people have either spent there money on the PS3, or could care less about the Wii. Hopefully I can find a place that has one. I still dont know what other game I'll buy, possibly Super Monkey Ball.

How easy do you guys think it'll be to find a Wii on Sunday? Also, Mr. Perfect, you mentioned Walmart giving out tickets at 10PM on Saturday. Do you have any idea if this goes for all Walmarts?

I just asked the guy in Gamestop, and he said they'll definitely be able to fill all preorders on Sunday. As for non-preorders, you might have a shot at it. I'd call a few places and ask what they're expecting Sunday to be like in terms of the number of units they'd have for sale for both preorders and walk-ons.

I just got done calling around. My Walmart said they'd be recieving 20 units, and that there are already a few people waiting outside (which I find hard to believe). My Best Buy said they would have 150 in stock, which seems like a pretty high number to me. She said I should have no problem getting one though. My Circuit City said they would be receiving 12 units. The rest of the stores (K-Mart, Target, TRU, etc...) had no clue how many they are getting. I may just go to K-Mart though, I mean, there were only four people waiting outside this morning for the PS3, I cant imagine more would be waiting for the Wii.

Nintendo Japan Confirms DVD Wii for 2007 New model expected to cost more than current Wii. by Anoop Gantayat November 17, 2006 - Earlier this week, we posted a story regarding plans for a DVD-enabled version of the Wii (click here in case you missed it). Today, Nintendo Japan made its first official comment on the unexpected turn of events.
Nintendo confirmed via a Q&A at its official website that it will release a higher end version of the Wii in the later half of 2007. The new model will offer DVD playback, but is not expected to see any other changes, external or internal. Nintendo expects the new model to cost more than the standard 25,000 yen Wii due to the costs associated with DVD licensing.
Based on Nintendo's statement, it seems that, in Japan at least, gamers will be able to select between two Wii system SKUs later next year.
Those who purchase the current model Wii hoping for a DVD upgrade in the future may be out of luck. Japan's Impress Watch tech site reports that Nintendo currently has no plans to make the current Wii model DVD ready, neither through software nor hardware. Previously, Nintendo had planned on selling an attachment that would give the Wii full DVD capabilities.

My grandma knows one of the managers of a local Wal-Mart and she said they already have 32 units and are getting somemore in today. I did get a free Wii knit cap from her. I'll be going at like 3 in the morning to wait for it, should be able to get one since I doubt there will be 20+ people standing for it.

Just got home from Wal-Mart and so far there is no one there for the Wii. I don' think in my town it's going to be as big of a deal as PS3 was. Plus they are getting almost triple the amount of systems then what they got for the $600.00 dust magnet.

IGN put up their Zelda review...
9.5.
Looks like I will be picking that up along with Red Steel on launch. I know Red Steel hasnt been getting the best reviews, with most saying its decent, but nothing special, but the game looks really cool to me. I might also try and pick up COD3.
