I have never been a huge fan of Street Fighter...I liked number 2 and Super Street Fighter 2 back in ...what, about 92? I don't even know or care to look it up. I've always preferred Mortal Kombat, but now thats it's all 3D and horrible, I really don't have a preferred fighting game..UNTIL THIS 1up News storyLook at those graphics, I mean seriously, it's obviously Chun Li's stage, and it's very impressive. One...thing though, ONE thing just makes this newly released picture seem...very odd. Maybe Ryu is just very excited for his own, game?

I've drooled buckets over that one screen shot. As long as the gameplay sticks to classic SF, I'll be a happy camper.

Maybe Chun Li is super hot and she made him excited. Who knows?

I don't like the overly muscular physique. I've always said MK > SF, and the 3D MK games are grea in my opnion.

I agree with the overly muscular physique, perhaps it's time for a government investigation in the SF world? Perhaps Ryo is another Signature Pharmacy customer?
All bad jokes aside, based on that one picture I think I am going to buy this game. This will be the first fighting game since Street Fighter II Turbo for the SNES. And I bought that game when it was new, mind you.

I really don't like the look. That exaggerated muscular look is perfectly ok in anime style cartoons but not in "realistic" 3d

Hmm...I dunno about the 3-D aspect.
Mortal Kombat was always all style, and little substance. Street Fighter has always been a much deeper game experience. That being said, as much as I used to lvoe SF, I probably won't buy it. I just can't get into fighting games anymore. I don't want to take the time to learn all the moves, combos, and to practice. None of my friends play them anymore, so there's nobody to play with. Playing online is like beating yourself in the head with a sledgehammer.

Saw the picture.. hate it. There's something about the style that makes it feel all.. horrible. It just looks like an arcade game (judging from Double J's link)

I've always preferred Mortal Kombat, but now thats it's all 3D and horrible, I really don't have a preferred fighting game. I'm sorry, but what? Deception won an award, Armageddon too, care to elaborate? I'm pumped for this game.

Well, I'd assume that his description of horrible has more to do with his experiences with the game as opposed to whether or not it got awards.

You would just put the game in and have fun beating the crap out you opponent until you ripped his head off and fed it to him through his ass. The only thing you really cared about was preforming the Fatality at the end. Even if you lost, as long as you got a fatality, you'd be happy..just because you got to see an insane amount of violence somewhere. I used to put the difficulty on expert, get my ass kicked on purpose, just to see if the computer player would do a fatality on me. Usually they'd just end with an upper cut which just pissed me off, but I loved the fatalities. With these new games, everything has been slowed down a TON. You have to get into the right fighting stance, hit people certain ways to knock them into the background and everything just get really old ..very quick. I'm not sure about you, but my friends played it like it was a WWF attitude game. For example. "Hey, let me try this move, stand still while I press pause to look at my move set... So I have to press up, down, block and A to do this move" then the person would fail, and do the same thing over and over again. The only time that ever really happened in the older games, is when you did a cheat to turn fatality time off, and they were trying to figure out how to do their fatality. Instead of me getting really annoyed, if they failed the attempt, I would try to help them kill my own character. Awards mean nothing to me though, video game awards are mostly a joke anyway.
