I don't care about it... I liked competing against my friend for a high score, but I don't care about them at all.

Little bit of both. If there's an incentive for me to do something extra in a game, but requires a little bit more effort, I'll probably just do it. If there's no reason for me to do it, I'll stop. Plus it doesn't hurt that Microsoft has started giving away real prizes for my fake score. After I saw you had a 60 year dynasty for NCAA achievement, I lol'ed. lmao...

I'm a story man... but alot of games stories can get lost in the middle. Or they can just be bad.
Achievements give me something to aim for when they game can get a little bit boring. Before I'd just stop playing and come back a year or two later to finish the game, now I'm more likely to play and complete it in a few months.
So yeah I love gamerscore but mostly because it motivates me through the game and have more fun with it.
I'll never have a higer gamer score then my uber-gaming friends but I don't really care.

I don't really pay attention to the score to be honest. I only notice when I actually unlock one, its not like I say "im going to get this one today" or something like that. Its nice to get them but I enjoy playing online more than getting the actual achievements.

I just play the game. I do get a good feeling when an achievement pops up. I wouldn't mind going back on some games that I really enjoyed and trying to get all the achievements.

For fun. I don't think I've ever done anything in any game to get gamerscore points.

My gamerscore is 395 at the moment. Granted, I got 360 for Christmas, and basically only play Call of Duty 4 Online.
I have Madden 08', Call of Duty 4, Guitar Hero 3, Forza Racing 2, and Ultimate Alliance. I'll get my Gamerscore up soon enough.

If you could trade in your points for discounts on XBLA games, then it might be worth it to get them

I just play for fun. I have to admit though, that achievement points do add re playability to games.
