Been a while since the last one.
For this discussion, just state your favorite game you got over the holidays, and state why if you'd like.
For me it's Bioshock. What a great surprise this game is. I've heard nothing but good things, but to live up to everything I've heard and read is even better. The setting alone is enough to make this game worthy of the word "amazing."

Uncharted: Drake's Fortune.
I was hyped for it for quite a while, then when I finally got it and had the chance to follow the story and work my way through, it did nothing but live up my biggest expectations. Fantastic game.

Of the two games I received for Christmas, I'm in absolute love with The Orange Box. C'mon, how can you not love five games on one disc? Not to mention, Portal is one of the most clever and original games I've ever played.

I didn't get a game for Christmas, I got all of them before hand. Out of those games my favorite is Mass Effect and the reason being is that I am already on my third play through and that speaks for itself.

Mass Effect. End of story. My girlfriend got me Mass Effect for Christmas, but I haven't opened it yet. I've been too busy with Bioshock, Orange Box, and Halo 3.

I only got Skate and Blacksite over the holidays, neither of which are overly spectacular. Over all the game I enjoyed most going into/during the holidays would be BioShock or Mass Effect.

Call of Duty 4 and Guitar Hero III. I love them both equally. Too bad I can't play either for about a month and a half

I only got two games as gifts for Christmas, Ratchet and Unreal Tournament III. I LOVE UTIII, I'm just a whore for fast, frantic, FPS online deathmatches. None of this squad based "talking is necessary" bullcrap.

I only got one game for Christmas this year. I got Skate. I've wanted the game for a while. Some of the tricks took a little while to get used to, but it's all about timing. I like that it is more realistic than the Tony Hawk games. It's a nice change of pace from the constant "get a 10,000 point combo to go on" and "jump off this tiny kicker onto the rim of some buliding and do a 5,000 point grind combo" missions that plagued those games. I also really like the flickit control system. It's much better than the constant button-mashing that came with the TH games.
