. Ok, a few of my games weren't working a few days ago. Rock Band, Bioshock, Blitz the League, SVR08. But COD4, Fight Night round 3, and FEAR still worked. So I went to Best Buy, asked what to do. I got a lens cleaner. I used it twice, but I'm not sure if it worked because it says to "fast forward" but there is no fast forward button on the cd options. Anyways, when that is done, I try putting in all the games again. Rock Band, Bioshock, still dont work. Now I call Microsoft. They tell me it needs repairing and since my parent's didnt get the extended warranty, its going to cost $99 dollars. Now I wish I got the red ring because I would get it free. Now, I have NO money. I didnt get much money for christmas, so I'd have to wait until April (my birthday) to get it fixed. Yeah, I'm pretty much outta the butt and into the on this one. If anyone has any advice, that'd be great. Keep in mind I am only 15 and a freshman in high school, so I have no way of getting a job anytime soon.

I'm not sure, since I've never tried it, but the red ring has been known to be temporary in some cases. However, since you called them and you got far enough into the process for them to know that you're out of normal warranty and that you didn't have a red ring, they'd probably think it was suspicious.

Actually, I might be getting that confused with people who that their 360 had red-ringed because the whole ring of light was red (which actually means the console's AV cables are improperly attached) and actually ended up getting a new one.

My bro talked to a Microsoft employee and they said IF it has the ring of death and they can prove it they'll send it back to him free.If he talked to Microsoft already they write all the crap he said down. If you gave them that code on the back then your pretty much ed
