I finally got around to watching Survival of the Dead.
I guess I liked it ok enough. It definately wasn't one of Romero's better films, actually it was probably the worst. The story was different, I'll give it that but I didn't enjoy it as much as I thought I would. The special effects were pretty pathetic. The CGI was pretty bad.
Zombie movies are my favorite type of horror so I will always come back for more...I just expected better.
At least it wasn't 'Dead Clowns'...

How about a new joinee to the thread, to help get things to 1000? Anyone else getting excited for the remake of I Spit on Your Grave? I think this is the start of Wes Craven going on a roll again, with Scream 4 being awesome next year. The trailer for Grave looks exciting though, however I shall skip the 3D if possible. Though I work in a theater, so get all my tickets free, so if all we get is the 3D version, I'll check it out. Also, as a huge fan of Let the Right One In, Let Me in looks laright to me, doesn't look like they butchered it too badly, and it's cool that Hit Girl is in there haha. I am curious to see how Paranormal Activity 2 turns out, and Saw films are like a yearly tradition for me. It seems like this year compared to last there is a lot to see in October, rather than half of it in August lol. Also, the theater I work at, on Halloween is doing a screening of the original Psycho. So I'm going to see Saw 3D, Paranormal 2, and Psycho all back to back to back, then go to an evening party First off, welcome to the thread! We are always looking for new members to join the cult..argh... I mean thread! But, I think you might have misread something. Wes Craven isnt in charge of I Spit On Your Grave nor is it in 3D. That would be his new movies he's directing called My Soul To Take which is in 3D. Both films look awesome though. Excited to see Grave in its Unrated glory.(If the theatres dont chicken out) Totally meant My Soul to Take, I keep getting the titles mixed up haha

How many pages did we lose from the glitch a couple of years ago? I know we should be well over 1000 by now had that not taken place. I believe it was 33 or 34 pages that we lost. There's a documentary on zombie movies on Space right now, and Vampires is on MPIX here in Canada. Pretty good night for horror. Oh, and welcome to all the newbies to the thread. Wish you all had been here all along, but I'm happy to see you here now.

What movies do you guys recommend to watch that are very suspenseful If you have never watched The Thing(1982) before, then I guarantee that watching it in the dark will more then satisfy your horror movie need.

I just bought "Trick 'r Treat" on Blu-Ray for $7.99. I haven't watched it before but I've heard good things.

Sucka, I think we lost at least 25-50 pages. If not more. Jorden, welcome to the thread! Post your reviews in here. Would make for great discussion. Sean, Your right, this year has rocked for horror! I am pumped for Hatchet II. Emailed my AMC theatre. Hoping they will get it. Willy Wonka, I finally watched Survival Of The Dead after hunting it down at Blockbuster for weeks. I honestly enjoyed it. Thought it was a tad better than Diary(Which I thought was decent). TrickRTreat for 8 bucks is awesome. I liked that one a lot. Have yet to buy it. and I am done typing replies for a few mins.. Just bought Se7en on Blu Ray. I consider it a little in the horror department. With all the gore and what not. Will be watching it tomorrow hopefully.

Keeping on task with that, I'm kind of interested in seeing "My Soul To Take." I don't know what it is...just something about it makes me want to give it a watch when it comes out. Haha.

Se7en isn't out in Blu-Ray until October 4th over here . Well you guys got All the Boys Love Mandy Lane on Blu like 2 years ago, we still have no official release whatsoever. Not to mention you get to see Danny Dyer and Tamer Hassan long before we do. It's not all bad.

To be honest, I'm not excited for Paranormal Activity 2 at all. I thought the first one was kind of boring. The film itself was probably just fine but by the time I watched it it had been so hyped up that my expectations were probably unrealistic.

Spent most of the evening talking about horror movies with the new girl I hired at work. Let's see, so she looks like a suicide girl, loves horror movies and heavy metal.....nope, no idea why I hired her.

It's not all bad. Eh, I've never seen the film and don't have a desire too. Please, oh dear god please tell me that was a joke? Danny Dyer is a ridiculously bad actor, and Tamer Hassan is only marginally better (though I have a bit of a soft spot for him as I've met him). The films they do together are crap.
