Did the sequel to REC ever come out? Or was that just a rumor? I could have sworn I saw a trailer for it.

I saw REC 2 at a midnight madness screening. It is INTENSE! It takes the REC series in a whole new direction. But I enjoyed it very much. Still had suspense and gore. Plus a little comedy. Just got out of Devil. Wasnt anything amazing. The ONLY reason I saw it was because I am a fan of horror and I love movies when there trapped in a weird situation(Phone Booth) But let me tell you... if the tickets were higher than 5 dollars than I would have been more disappointed. Something to check out when you have nothing else to see. The "twist" ending was easily predicted in the first 15 mins. I liked the score... although it didnt fit THIS movie. It was more suspenseful then the actual movie itself. Devil would get an average 7/10 from me. Pretty much what I expected.

Am I the only one who liked the new Nightmare On Elm Street? I understand why people don't like it, but honestly I like it. The whole reason stuff like Friday the13th & Nightmare & Halloween are being re-done is to introduce them to the new generation. How many 14 year olds do you think thought of seeing the original? None, but I bet that same one went to the movies with a bunch of friends and watched that movie and had a great time. Much like most of the guys who were in there teens when the original came out.

Most likely not as the film was rated R in America, and 18 in the UK. On topic, though, you are speaking with the A Nightmare On Elm Street remake's only fan

On topic, though, you are speaking with the A Nightmare On Elm Street remake's only fan I liked the remake for what it was, an updated retelling of the story. It didn't come close to the greatness of the original, remakes rarely do. My opinion on why there is so much hate for the remakes is because you are updating classic favorites and nobody likes having their icons messed with. Plus, you can't help but compare it to the original which for most people includes nostalgic memories. I try to look at it as another chance to see some of my favorite horror stars such as Jason, Freddy and Michael Meyers in action.

I loved the Nightmare remake, in some ways more than the original, not for the film itself, just for what it tries to do. I thought Haley was a GREAT Krueger, and I liked how they explored his past a bit more. The bit with the micronaps was interested as well. Original is still better ,but I love both films.

The difference is, the reason to follow those movies was because they were fresh, original, new, with innovative filmmaking techniques. These "reintroductions" are not fresh, not original, not new, with the same filmmaking techniques that were developed for the originals. It's like enjoying a great Beatles song, but the Across the Universe version only. Yeah, cool that it exists and people like it, but to say it's fine to introduce a whole generation of possible horror fans to this and tell them "this is horror" is like giving a bunch of kids an Avenged Sevenfold CD and saying "this is metal". No, it's a meta-version of what the original used to be. A self-depreciating sloppy homage, if you will. Would you rather introduce a young child to Hulk Hogan of 1987 or 2003? Which is a better depiction of the once-great wrestler? That's my problem with it, since you seemed to be asking.

Original is still better ,but I love both films. i loved the new one as well, saw it opening night. i liked how they had you thinkin kruger didnt do anything at first and had a simpathetic view point. then you saw that he was a molester and hated him lol the micro naps were really cool how they blended reality with the dreams fav part is when that dude just died and kruger was messin with him "Did you know that after the heart stops beating, the brain keeps working for well over seven minutes? We still have six more minutes to play. " that was so bad ass i am a huge fan of the originals (even have all the dvds) but i really apreciated that they tried to make the story into present time and tried to revamp the story. so i like both equally

I haven't seen the remake yet, but I've recently had a change of heart with horror remakes and really enjoy most of them.

Hey Sucka, The link isnt working for me. I'd really love to read what you thought of REC2. But for some reason it says link isnt correct.

Just watched The Cottage. Amazing. Watch it. It's really funny, and theres enough blood and gore to satisfy even the most bloodthirty of horror fans.
