This is for anyone who has seen hostel. Me and my cousin went to go see it earlier tonight. Both were excited because of all the attention this movie got and we both really thought we would get scared or disturbured or something. Really though we both just ended up being dissapointed. This movie was just bad. They barely even showed much gore in the movie. Not saying thats what makes a movie or not but that would have at least been something. The idea of what this movie is about is a great story. However i just dont get what was so great about the actual movie. People on theese forums and others are saying how they liked it or even loved it. So really after a good rant i just would like to hear why people like this movie so much? You can look around the last couple pages to see what I think of Hostel. In many ways, it's the perfect horror movie. Plenty (I felt) of gore, lots of female nudity, good plot and good acting, extremely satisfying ending, there's nothing at all that I did not like about it. In my opinion, Eli Roth has shown with Cabin Fever and now Hostel that he is the future of horror directors. Really cant wait to see his next movies. Puropower..Bruce Campbell...annoying!?!? You bastard! Wow it is Friday the 13th..didn't even notice until you mentioned it. While im here, I watched The Exorcism of Emily Rose last night and was very very impressed. I had expected a pretty bad movie, and I was really entertained and wanting more. The girl, Jennifer Carpenter, was terrific. Very underrated movie. |

I still have to d/l that movie and check it out. It looks like it would be pretty cool. People were saying all the scary parts were shown in the trailer and it was really more drama than horror. I still want to check it out. I just hope it isn't the kind of "horror" like Gothika. I  ing HATE Gothika. |

Its pretty interesting how they did it. It's like half courtroom drama/half horror, which I had no problem with. Some of the scenes were actually pretty creepy

Just watched 'I Know What You Did Last Summer'. Whilst ive heard quite a lot of people don't like this film i thought it was good, would give it a 7/10 overall, the ending scared the crapout of me!

Friday the 13th rules. It would be cool if AMC or USA was showing something, usually they show stuff on Friday the 13th. I'm just stuck with Bond movies. Eh guess I'll just have to watch the DVD's.
