I'm not a big fan of House of 1000 corpses. I don't hate it. I just don't really like it either. I liked it up until it just went completely off the wall bizarre towards the end. I do like Devils Rejects however.

Devils Rejects is amazing, and probably one of my favorite movies. House of 1000 Corpses is like every other Rob Zombie movie and leaves me disappointed at the end.

Serpent and The Rainbow is on right now on Scream. I remember being a kid and thinking that the poster for this movie was the greatest thing ever....even though my parents wouldn't let me watch it.

OH MY GOD GUYS! Dead Snow (2009) Directed by Tommy Wirkola This is, for the lack of a better term, ing amazing. It pays homage to many campy '80s horror flicks, but still maintains a fresh idea with its out-there story: Don't steal nazi zombie treasure or you're gonna get hunt down. It's also among the goriest films I've ever seen, with over 450 liters of blood shed. The kills are insane, like a guy getting his face ripped in half, and a guy using a zombie's (still attatched) intestines as a rope to scale down a mountain. Many similarites to Evil Dead (it's mentioned a lot by the film geek character), The Descent (it actually rips it off completely at one point, why do people always tap another person on the shoulder while they're in the middle of a killing spree?), and The Hills Have Eyes, has top-notch realistic make-up effects, they took the time to make every zombie look authentic no matter how far from the camera they were, and is downright hilarious. When the group of campers see their friend get his face ripped in half, one of them says "I told you we should've gone to Sunny Beach!" It's pitiful how much foreign horror is kicking American horror's ass these last few years (Eden Lake, Rec, Frontiers, Inside, Let the Right One In, The Descent, etc). The ending is brilliant, I had so much fun with this film, and it will hopefully achieve cult status soon enough. Ein! Zwei! Die! 8.5Next up I gotta check out Wirkola's parody of Kill Bill-type vengeance films, Kill Buljo.

What language is it in and if not English, are there subtitles?

Guess who's back!? ITS ME! JOHNNY GINGER How is everyone doing? I haven't had time at all to catch up on horror. The last horror dvd i bought was severance for like 3 dollars, thats about it. Just thought i would stop in and make a post Anyone else going to see Drag Me To Hell next weekend? I am for sure. Looks great, even though the PG-13 rating is kind of lame. How in the f*ck can Sam Raimi make a PG-13 horror movie? it's like if Martin Scorsese directing a PG-13 gangster film..
