Anybody know of any cool Halloween/Horror type conventions or hauntings going on in the Chicago land area this October? Thanks, Lotto There WAS one in Chicago that was supposed to take place on Sept 11-13 (Same as Scare Fest here in KY). But they canceled for some reason. So Scare Fest is offering discounted tickets to anyone who had tickets to this con (with proof of course). Speaking of Scare Fest, here is my costume. It's not finished. I need to do some more weathering on the gloves and pants. I also need to add some padding to the lower legs. It takes some decent padding for a 5'10 160 lb dude to look like Jason ;D I am also 6'3 with this costume on thanks to some crafty lifts that I made into the shoes. WOW! Looks awesome already! You definitely outdid yourself Bro!

I am pumped! Northern Ontario's premier film festival, Cinefest Sudbury, announced their line up for this year (Sept 19-27) and it includes:
George Romero's Survival of The Dead
Lesbian Vampire Killers
and Daybreak
I usually don't go to the festival, since they don't normally feature horror, but these will all appearently be midnight screenings.

But how could you not like Final Destination 4 in 3D? It was so cheesy and so FUN. Like they knew what we were expecting..so they just ran with the total non serious approach and it paid off. The guy with the noose.. HILARIOUS. Yet the gore and kills rocked..and they didnt try the POP OUT 3D thing...they just went with it all in 3D. Very good compared to what everyone else was expecting. See thats why i like the Final Destination films I just got back from seeing FD 4 and thought it was awesome, Saw in 2D but was still awesome, Its cheesy and obvious but it was made to be like that, I thought it was a great film

Lucky!! Tell us how Daybreakers is. I hadn't even really heard of it until today, but the trailer looks really cool so I'm really pumped for it.

sports.yahoo.com/mma/blog/cagewriter/post/Sylvia-finds-his-calling-in-latest-Friday-the-13?urn=mma,187398 After showing up as a sloppy, hairy 315-pound beast for his last fight, Tim Sylvia is a natural to be cast as a horror film monster. Fighters.com is reporting that he got a gig in the latest Friday the 13th movie. Yes, we're serious. Sylvia has been a blogosphere punchline since he was knocked out in 10 seconds by 48-year-old Ray Mercer. He's a favorite of photoshoppers. We can't even imagine what comes now when MMA fans find out Sylvia is the latest Jason Vorhees. Sylvia does have a return fight in less than three weeks on September 18 at Adrenaline MMA 4 in Iowa. The movie is filming in the Boston area. Here's hoping that filming is taking just a few hours a day and he's actually training for his fight against Jason Riley. Fighters.com says Sylvia is working with Boston-based trainer Mark DellaGrotte.

As I stated in the thread about this, it's not true. He is shooting a low budget slasher film that will likely be direct to DVD. Platinum Dunes is currently working on editing the Nightmare remake. They don't even have a Friday sequel script at this point. Here is a link to a casting call for the film Sylvia is shooting. boston.craigslist.org/sob/tlg/1327945339.html

So freaking ready for Scarefest. Me too! I can't wait. Be sure to stop by the benevolentstreet.com table when we happen to be at the table. lol. I'm going to be running all around. Hard to believe that it's that time of the year already. Danielle Harris posted a link to our interview on her blog today which is awesome.

You damn well better believe I'm gonna stop by that table. I'm gonna spend the next few days rounding up all the crap I need to get signed.
Going to catch Let the Right One In tonight, and I'll probably see it again at the Fest before I take off on Sunday.

If it's the crappy DVD ones I'll bail on the Sunday screening, it's the only thing I know of that interests me on Sunday anyway.

I'll be there. Just not sure how long. But Friday and Saturday will rule

I think they should just replace Jason with the Hulkster and have him kill everyone that doesn't drink their milk and take their vitamins.
