From what I've heard, the original plan for H5 was to have Jamie as the killer, but everyone got cold feet. So, instead, the kill off Rachel, give us waaaaay too much Tina and have a very confusing storyline and ending. BTW, Trick R Treat looks amazing. I've always been unsure as to what would have made the perfect Halloween 5. Though I won't lie, I liked the movie growing up. It doesn't hold up now that I'm slightly harder to please. I like it simply for the fact that it was part of growing up. Other than that, it falls flat. The opening credits are nice though! There certainly should have been a better way to end the film. I'm not sure how well it would have worked to have Jamie be the killer though. But Halloween 4 had an amazing ending. Halloween 4 was one good Michael Myers mask away from being perfect.

Halloween 4 is my second favorite of the series, and I may actually like it better than the original, but I just have to place the original at the top because it introduced the whole series. I remember seeing a special about horror movies when I was a kid (I think it may have been on Maury if that show was on back then) and they kept showing scenes from Halloween 5. The "Uncle Michael?......Boogeyman?....." scene with Jamie stood out to me and I was like, "Whoa, this must be the greatest movie ever! It seems sooooo scary!" Sadly, my Mom used that special to cement her belief that I should never be exposed to horror movies. Talk about an epic fail there, Mom!
The last a few streets over from my house has her whole front porch and yard decorated. Looks like she did it yesterday. She had a really good cemetary set last year, even had a bench that my daughter sat down on and rested on while I talked to the lady about her display. Looks like I may have to start on mine sooner than later.

Yeah, I think I'll need the luck.
There's a chance my wife will go to bed early anyways, since she's been working early mornings all week. If that's the case then I'm either gonna throw on TCM, Halloween, 30 Days of Night or My Name is Bruce. Hopefully a combination of those.

So, my wife has gone to bed early and leaves me with no choice but to watch a real horror movie tonight instead of Twilight....can you just feel my heartbreak?

I hate double posting in here, but I can't believe we went an entire Friday night without a post! Anyway, I couldn't decide what to watch last night, so I took my own advice from the Scary Movie Suggestion thread and watch The Evil Dead.

I need to get the "An American Werewolf in London" Blu Ray! I still need to watch it for the first time. And Jer, I'll be going to see Pandorum sometime next weekend after I go see "I Hope They Serve Beer In Hell" again. It might be tricky though, there is a tattoo convention going on in the same place Scarefest went down next weekend, so I'll be there for a while.

Finally saw H2. I was pretty disapointed. Only things that really got to me were the rapings of the Loomis and Laurie characters.

Were you suprised there? The trailers made it look terrible. Megan Fox is hot but her acting isnt anything to pay to see.
