A guy I used to work with was disappointed that he didn't get to see Jennifer's Body yet, I was like, "Seriously?"

Were you suprised there? The trailers made it look terrible. Megan Fox is hot but her acting isnt anything to pay to see. I was just hoping for some cheesy gore and tits ;D Got none of the above.. there was BARELY and gore on the screen. I wasnt getting pumped for the film but I was hoping it would have been one of those cheesy movies to laugh at with friends.

No other reason to sit through this movie.

Yeah. It's never interested me in the slightest either.

I'm afraid to admit I watched this... it just made me feel dirty. I'd rather watch a snuff film with my grandpa... starring my grandpa.

Yeah. They never really got it anywhere near right in the Howling series after the original.

Speaking of bad and cheesey...I just sat through 'Ghoul School' which I got from Netflix. Its a 1990 movie about a school swim team that turns into zombies/ghouls from some type of toxic that gets in their pool. They go after the remaining students and teachers in the building. They tried hard on the gore but it came off badly.
I should probably wash my mouth out with soap just for telling you about it.

I saw Jennifer's Body yesterday. I didn't care for Juno and I'm not a big fan of Fox, but I didn't think it was horrible. It was pretty corny at times, but considering the last horror film I saw in theaters was Halloween 2 it didn't seem all that bad.
I was surprised.

Jennifer's Body (2009) Directed by Karyn KusamaI was expecting to hate this but found myself pleasantly surprised. It's a very fun throwback to the campy horrors of the '80s. The gore is there in small doses though they implement great old uses to depict it, like silhouettes/shadows on walls. The acting caught me off guard, Megan Fox showed she can do more than scream and run in slow motion. She's not anything special, but I enjoyed her character. The gorgeous Amanda Seyfried was the best in the bunch as the girl who will do anything to stop Jennifer's rampage. My favorite was Johnny Simmons as Chip, Seyfriend's character's boyfriend. I hope to see more of this kid soon. Adam Brody was also a delight as a demonic rock star, and it has a classic cameo by JK Simmons as a hook-handed teacher, and Amy Sedaris pops up for a bit. Some beautiful cinematography deserves a mention, and I'm glad it didn't feel so obvious that Diablo Cody wrote this. There's a few really cheesy forced lines, but it's not so noticeable. It won't change the world or even make a lot of money, it's simply a very entertaining "old school" horror that feels very indie. 7.5/10

I can't knock much of anything right now. I started watching Halloween Resurrection a few nights ago for the first time since I saw it in theaters. The movie is even worse than I remembered it being. Took me 3 nights to finish it! I kept nodding off. It had a serious "Dimension Films Direct to DVD" feel to it.

Wow guys. My DVR's are really starting to fill up with mostly all horror related movies + episodes of Dexter & True Blood I need to catch up on, and it's not even October 1st yet! I'm going to try and cram in as much as possible in October - horror wise. Let the games begin!

I have to say that a reason why I did infact hate the movie was because it DID feel like Diablo Cody wrote it. I hate the way people talk in her movies.

Anyway, no idea what I'm going to watch tonight, possibly the Amityville remake. I just got all of my Halloween stuff out of storage and scattered all around my garage. I didn't realize that I have 125 lights, I thought I only had 50, so now it changes all of my decorating plans. 2 houses in my town are fully decorated (lights, cobwebs, tombstones, etc.) so I'm really starting to feel like I'm lagging behind. But, I figure if I never turn my Christmas lights on until December 1st, I can wait for this too.

I put up a Frankenstein display thing on my door so far. Now that I have a yard I'm going to do a cemetery type set up. I live in a neighborhood/community filled with nothing but old people. They're going to all hate me by the end of October.
