It's not an awards show anymore. It's all about ratings now. I firmly believe that. The two highest nominations are Amy Winehouse and Kanye West. That's because they are on two different sides of the spectrum, so that ensures more viewers. Do you think if The Clash was still around(R.I.P. Joe Strummer) that they would be nominated? No. That's why these crappy pop-punk bands are nominated. So not only are a teenager's parents watching in the living room, but the teenager is watching the show in their bedroom. More ratings. I have no faith in ANY awards show anymore. It's all ratings and a popularity contest. I saw Eddie Vedder was nominated, and I'm happy for him. That's it.

Compared to the albums their up against, they should win, but I really wouldn't consider their album one of the best of the year, I absolutely loved Funeral, but this one was just boring, I really couldn't get into it. |

As long as Feist and Winehouse each get some wins'll be cool. I'd like to see QotSA win...and I guess have Slayer win best metal since the other bands aren't really that heavy.
