i've always been down with the punisher character, so hopefully this film kicks serious ass.

I am so against this ing film. No Jane, no watch. Exactly. I don't know who the this dude is, but he will NOT match Jane's performance. Jane had the look, the attitude, the voice, everything. I for one LOVE The Punisher, and its my favorite movie. There is no way in hell I am going to see this. As B.A said,... No Jane. No ing Watch.

There, fixed.
Personally, he looks just as if he was torn out of the comic books.
Jane didn't have the right look or intimidation factor for me.
Stevenson'll be perfect as an ass-kicking, ruthless Punisher who's already been on the job for a few years.

I wouldn't doubt the movie yet. Lexi Alexander is a good director, I'm looking forward to it. I loved the first Punisher, I gave up on continuity in comic movies years ago. Tom Jane I wish would have came back, but oh well, get the over it. He just wanted to see his kids.

he looks foolish...it looks to "comicy" for me from that picture. Dont get me wrong, I enjoyed the comics, but when I watch a movie I do quite enjoy the realistic touch that makes it its own entity...not thats you pulled it from a comic book. it just never appealed to me...and Jane was a bad ass as punisher...simple as that

That defeats the purpose of a "comic-to-movie" then. You have to include continuity, characters, stories and imagery from the source material, it makes sense. Plus if you were a fan of Thomas Jane's Punisher, then you'd know a lot of that film has comic book elements to it as well. And on a final note, I don't understand what's so "comic booky" about the picture anyways, as I think the Punisher is the most realistic comic book character around.

At first glance I thought it was Segal.

The Jane Punisher flick really didn't matter to me. I enjoyed it, but it was nothing great.
Lexi Alexander gives me hope for this, I just hope it opens with Elijah walking down the street singing bubbles only to get gunned down by the main bad guy.

I loved the first Punisher. Reminds me of Die Hard & Crank, mindless action from start to finish.

At first I was mad about Jane not taking over just because I really enjoyed the first one. But this one looks pretty badass. That guy looks just like him from the comics and even The Punisher game that was released not long ago. Im all for more Punisher.

Jane's Punisher was ing terrible, the whole movie was campy and just downright bad. This picture gives me hope Glad someone else said it. With someone else being in the movie, I might actually go see it. Granted Travolta was one of the worst parts of the first movie, but still, it was God awful.
