Best male actor of the year
That's a hard one. Josh Brolin, Casey Affleck, Christian Bale and Russell Crowe all had amazing years but I'm going to go with Josh Brolin 'cause he's been in 3 of my favorite movies of the year (No Country for Old Men, Grindhouse, American Gangster) and made an incredible "comeback" to Hollywood.

Best male actor of the year: Josh Brolin, he has been in 3 of my top 10 movies this year. Best Female actor of the year: Cate Blanchett, Her performance in "I'm not there" was perfect. Best Horror Film of the Year: The Mist Best Comedy Film of the year: Hot Fuzz Best Action Film of the year: Shoot 'em Up Best Special Effects Film: Transformers, I hated the flick but the robot were cool. Best Sequel of the year: Live Free or Die Hard, this one was a pain to figure out, but in the end I had to pick this over the 3rd Bourne flick, but it was really close. Best Young and coming actor: Mikey Cera, I've loved that kid since AD, and now that he is getting in the movies I couldn't be happier.
