Looks sick. I'm glad they revistited the original to remind the people who have forgotten, or the newcomers. Its like the entire first movie in 5 minutes.
So pumped.

Glad to hear that it sounds like it will live up to what Alien fans wanted.

Holy Hell....i have to say, this was a suprise. The only thing im kinda confused by is how that damn alien got that big, that quickly. I mean, it wasnt born in a human womb like in Alien: Resurrection, lol.
..and the arm part, and facecrawlers on children is just awesome. face-crawlers are still by far, the creepiest, tiniest, creatures on film.
But damn, the Predators better F*ck up the Aliens.
this is like watching a damn football game, thats what i dig about these movies. just fun times.

There's a good 10 min between the chestbuster bursting out and it being fully grown.

Anderson had said in the commentary on the first movie that it was to be implied that the queen had been pumped full of steroids, which would make her have eggs faster, open faster, develop the chestbursters faster, and make the drones reach maturity faster. ...would have been a much better thing had it have NOT been implied but instead explained; some might be interested in hearing that the Strause's (if it does well in the box office) have been pretty much green lighted to make another movie, which they say WILL take place in space. EDIT: One other thing I just remembered to note: The ship that goes down isn't the mothership we all saw at the end of AVP, it was a smaller scout ship that for whatever reason was left orbiting Earth. I just can't wait to see Wolf royally up some ing bugs. P.S. - Dark Knight, that's not America's release date.

Well, TBH, i dont think they should imply anything. these are pure popcorn flicks, and i hope the stay that way and dont try to get too technical.

Might be pure popcorn flicks to the average movie goer, but you have to remember these franchises have their own geeks and fanboys. Whereas something to the normal viewer mightnot mean squat, to the diehard fans, somethings could be very important.
Like I don't really give a crapabout Batman or Star Wars, but let's say the new Joker is 7 feet tall and plays an accordion... people might be a little pissed off. Same thing here too. A lot of people don't know both Aliens and Predator, as well as AVP have comics, and novels telling other stories, which some of these movies do tie in with - and that is somewhat important. The general public didn't like Lex and Scar in AVP teaming up, but what they don't know is that that was loosely based on Machiko and Da'Chande (Broken Tusk) teaming up from the novel AVP: Prey, which was also based on the comic series.
...yeah, I'm a nerd for this shit.
