Ok so as a kid growing up in the 80's I loved and still do love Star Wars. Last week I watched the Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones for the first time if a couple of years and they were so much better than I remembered them being. Have any of you guys watched the new trilogy and thought the same? Do not get me wrong there not as good as the original trilogy but in there own right there fantastic movies and I enjoyed every minute of them. For some reason like many people at the time I thought they were let down but my expectations were un realistically high now I love them for what they are.
I am going to watch the original trilogy over Xmas break and I was thinking that while at first I always thought a new Star Wars trilogy set after the events of Jedi would suck but now I would really welcome it. Any of you guys want a new Star Wars trilogy or have new appreciation for episodes 1 2 and 3.

I don't want a whole new trilogy. If they could somehow come up with a way to make a Shadows of the Empire movie though, (animation is probably the only option, and as long as they don't use that crappy Clone Wars style of doing so) I wouldn't mind seeing that.

I enjoyed it all, The writing was there and it made for 6 well made and greatly interconnected movies...do I think there needs to be more star wars movies? Well in honesty I look at star wars like I do star trek, more cannnot hurt, it can only expand. The thing you have to realize is the Star Wars universe with all the books and comics and everything is quite a bit more expansive then the movies can even remotely grasp hold of. The movies are a center of attention but you could honestly write a story about anyone doing anything within the universe..
I would rather not see a continuance of the other movies, but instead an entirely diff. movie or movies that talk about something else going on somewhere else. I mean they coudl make reference to what happened in the others but yea. Thats just me.

I think the first three films are mint, so I wouldn't mind seeing more Star Wars movies. Not necessarily ones that linked onto the ending of ROTJ, but like Revvie said, it'd be cool if they mentioned bits from the original six episodes, or even went more in depth of certain storylines, e.g. pre-ANH or, post-ROTS. A Clone Wars live action movie would be cool as well. Kit Fisto ftw.

If George Lucas was just a producer, and didn't actually direct them, then yes. Otherwise, if he is going to muck them up like he did with the prequels, then I say no thanks.

I could see them making some new movies with new concepts probaly following the books that most Star Wars fans love. Dark Republic and stuff like that.

Knights of the Old Republic plz. We have a winner! Seriously though, George Lucas shouldn't have a hand in a new Star Wars franchise at all. All he needs to do is sign the checks and receive the money. Dare I say, George Lucas has the Midas Touch of suck.

I love Star Wars and I would love to see movies based on Knights of the Old Republic and also on Republic Commando. Two awesome games and I am sure they would make for some good movies if done right.

I haven't seen Ep 1 or 2 recently but the dialogue in 3 makes me cringe. "If you're not with me, then you're my enemy." "In my opinion, the Jedi are evil!" What the , is he in an internet chat? You don't need to say in my opinion when it's coming out of your mouth. Like Barrett, I'd like to see a Shadows of the Empire movie or I could go with a KOTOR movie, but frankly I'm quite content with the Star Wars universe as it is.

well the wholestory actually has a total of ten books and only 6 have been done the fist one is a short 100 page book explaining the background story of why there is only two sith. and the final three lead up to the death of Luke and the real death of the sith lord Darth Sidius.
so probally would not mind the next three but i would rather not have them because the stories are too confusing for the younger kids who love star wars
