Wasn't Steven Speilberg's Duel a made for TV movie? If so I would go with that one.

Someone needs help on a book report! Well considering I'm 27 I doubt I'm doing a book report. It was just a random question.

Seems extremely direct and to the point to be a random question, if it was just made for TV movie...then sure, but something that "accurately portrays the Great Depression" made me think you need help on something.
At 27, you can still be in school.

The Day After. Sure it wasn't the Great Depression, but there is really nothing more depressing to you and the economy than a full scale nuclear attack by the commies.
