When talking main stream songs I might have to go with 'Bitter Sweet Symphony' by the Verve.

Oh the memories. I remember me and my elementary school friends debated everyday what the lyrics were. But just because the song is memorable doesnt mean its great.

If this song beats a Rage Against The Machine song, then you were living in a different 90's than I was bro.

When talking main stream songs I might have to go with 'Bitter Sweet Symphony' by the Verve. Agreed with that one. I always loved that song, one of the best of the 90s. Also great from the 90s... "Everything To Everyone"- Everclear "Teen Angst (What the World Needs Now)"- Cracker "Sweet Jane"- Cowboy Junkies "Glycerine"- Bush "Girls & Boys"- Blur "The Freshmen"- The Verve Pipe "All Apologies"- Nirvana "Wonderwall", "Don't Look Back In Anger", & "Champagne Supernova"- Oasis The complete albums "Siamese Dream" and Mellon Collie And The Infinite Sadness"- Smashing Pumpkins The complete albums "The Bends" and "OK Computer"- Radiohead. The difference between a lot of these songs and "Blue" by Eiffel 65 is the latter these days and for the most part back then was looked upon as a "novelty" song. None of the above is considered "novelty". One thing I know is Cowboy Junkies' rendition of The Velvet Underground's "Sweet Jane" kicks all sorts of ass, and is definately one of the best of the 1990s. -CMD

Nah, I don't think that's it really. If I had to choose, I'd pick EVERY OTHER SONG EVER MADE IN THE '90s EVER.

"No Rain" by Blind Melon is the perfect '90s song in my opinion.

"Kiss From A Rose" - Seal "Don't Damn Me" - Guns N' Roses "Undone" - Weezer "Estranged" - Guns N' Roses "Interstate Love Song" - Stone Temple Pilots
Top 5 of the 1990's, imo.
