do anyone else feel like all the new rock stuff sounds the same? this generation sucks ..musiclly i have found my self going back into the early middle and late ninties
pop(hootie and the blowfish,counting crows,blues travlers,matchbox 20,third eye blind)
alternative(collective soul,fuel,cypress hill)
even early rap(snow,cypress hill,digital underground,sugar hill gang)
but it just as of late seems that the new era of music needs to reflect on those who have came before them.
because damn it just sounds so blah...
then again i could just be this semi charmed kinda life

If that is aimed at the Eagles Of Death Metal, then ironicly they don't actually do death/heavy metal

You're not looking far enough. True. But equally true: FM radio sucks. My local modern "rock" station still plays Saliva.

Mainstream Rock/Pop/Hip Hop in general sucks. All the good stuff is underground for now.

I see the Sugarhill Gang as being the pinnacle of music, really.

You'll always say that 'so and so' "used to be good." It's the same with wrestling, sport, anything!

Just no. Music is evolving like everything else. Get over it.

I crap a brick when I found Jesse "The Devil" Hughes hanging outside the venue when they were on the Duluth tour. No one even seemed to know who he was and he just sat around listening to his iPod. So I finally walked up and introduced myself. He seemed really excited that someone actually knew who he was. From the sound of it Heart On may be their best album yet.
