On the night of December 6th, the following was posted by Ian Rotten on the IWA:MS message forums. " It saddens me to inform you all that, as it looks right now, the doors of IWA:MS may be closing. Our shows simply dont draw what we need to survive, especially with the talent that is brought in. So, unless something huge happens for us, come January of 2007, IWA:MS will be no more." Well, something big did indeed happen. On December 20th, a financial backer stepped into the company, and gave IWA what it needed to survive, money. With this new financial backer, came the following message from Ian Rotten, posted on December 30th in the IWA:MS forums. " I am glad to inform all of you that IWA:MS will NOT be closing anytime soon. We have had a new financial backer join the equation, which in turn means that IWA:MS will indeed stay open. There are some catches though. The new backer said he does not want to see deathmatches anymore as he said he doesnt want to be associated with them. We cant do anything but comply if we want his backing, which we desperately need. So, starting in January, IWA:MS will be focusing solely on wrestling. January marks the new face of IWA:MS."

I will not be posting a roster due to IWA:MS not really having a set group of people. However, I will post a core group who will be on most shows.
Tyler Black Josh Abercrombie Arik Cannon Brandon Thomaselli Vito Thomaselli Sal Thomaselli Chuck Taylor Ricochet Billy Roc Eric Priest Chandler McClure Larry Sweeney Marek Brave Jake Crist Dave Crist
There will be more on the shows, but the people listed are the ones who can commit to IWA:MS and are the ones who will be around mroe often than guys like Hero and Sydal who have a lot of other places to work for.

Friday January 12th, 2007 Midlothian, IL Don Preston Recreational Center 14500 Kostner Ave.
IWA Mid South Presents "New Years Rumble"
Toby Klein has been IWA:MS World Champion for over half a year. On January 12th, Arik Cannon returns to IWA to reclaim what was once his. Cannon will have to bring his A-game though as Klein has really come into his own in the ring, and has showcased his true wrestling skill on many occasions. Klein and Cannon cannot wait to hook it up in Midlo...
Main Event - IWA:MS World Championship Toby Klein vs. Arik Cannon
Brandon Thomaselli has really been impressing upper management in IWA ever since he broke away from his brothers. He has impressed so much, that he will be recieving a Light Heavyweight Championship match in Midlo against reigning champion Josh Abercrombie. Could Thomaselli be the one to finally dethrone Abercrombie, or will Thomaselli just be another notch in Abercrombies title belt?
IWA:MS Light Heavyweight Championship Josh Abercrombie vs. Brandon Thomaselli
Also in action will be two CHIKARA all-stars, as they go head to head. Larry Sweeney is becoming a huge name among the indy circuit, and Shane Storm seemingly wants to ride the coat-tails of Sweeney. These two will clash in a special CHIKARA Challenge match in Midlo...

The IWA:MS Tag-Team Champions will also be in action in Midlo. The Irish Airborne won the titles back in November, and have taken on any challenger thrown at them. This time, it wont just be one team though, its going to be two as The Irish Airborne collide with The Iron Saints, and Team Underground for the tag straps...

Plus...Claudio Castagnoli, Tyler Black, Jigsaw, Marek Brave, Ricochet, Trik Davis and many more.

However, the chances of Midlo-Plainfield, or Plainfield-Midlo double-shots being run are slim because in my game, some of the people I want to use are always booked elsewhere on Saturday nights, so doing single shows on Fridays is much easier.

Uh, I don't get it.... game? I've heard many people use that term here, are these diaries also called "Games" or do you use actual games to get results and stuff? We use either TEW or EWR. Both are wrestling booker simulators. You take control of a promotion and book it.

What the hell? I was about to start an IWA diary AS WELL. Haha, what is the chance of 4 people thinking this at the same time. SEH, I will most definitely be reading this, and I'm gonna leave the IWA-MS diary all for you. I am thinking of going with a new ROH one or a CZW one, as I just downloaded all the T-Zone stuff and fixed up a bunch of stuff. But one thing I really don't like about this is the lack of death matches. I mean, it is only really KOTDM where they really run them. I think your financial backer should let them run the scheduled Tag Team KOTDM and see how things go.

Excellent show. The thing with Claudio seems quite interesting, as well as (I'm assuming this) your eventual mega-push of guys like Black and Abercrombie. One thing, I don't like that two matches ended in handfuls of tights. That's a little iffy to me. I'm assuming when you copied the result from TEW they both had the handful of tights, but it is always better to have some variety. But this is one diary I am going to read every single tidbit of info you post, as I know with you it's gonna be something goood.

I thorougly enjoyed the show my friend. I was hoping when Black got the invitation to the battle royal, he would take it all. You know how we feel on the dude (you, me, Dean and Armor). I'll be waiting eagerly to see Cannon/Hero as its a match that needs to happen in real life one more time.
