October 1, 2006: Vince McMahon, totally dissatisfied with the ratings his shows were getting, employed a new idea... perhaps it was the individual brands' fault. With this, Vince decided that the brand was to undergo a "Total Reconstructive Draft" in that EVERY wrestler in this draft would possibly change as there would be 43 indivdual picks with every active wrestler changing sides. After this lottery, the Rosters were shaken up and when the dust had settled, this was the rosters on Raw and Smackdown...

Sorry for making such long results but only this show and the Smackdown show this week will be this long and after that, they will be like my old summary style results...
Monday, October 2nd, 2006
Courtesy of spam.com Monday Night Raw emanated live from the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois. Tonight, the superstars of RAW kicked off a new era of entertainment, one night removed from the Total Reconstructive Draft Lottery the new superstars mingled; some superstars did this by simply getting to know each other backstage while others took a more direct and more physical way of interacting with the new and old superstars of RAW. The night kicked off with 2 superstars who were formerly of Smackdown butting heads when Joey Mercury took on Paul Burchill. The match was a very back and forth one between the two highly skilled competitors. In the eight or so minutes this match was given, Joey Mercury and Paul Burchill showed why RAW has been considered the better of the two shows and why they belong on this show. There was some instances of the match that sort of dragged on for example it looked like the two superstars were a little frazzled by the live crowd and that kind of hurt the match but it was a great way to start off the show none the less. Mercury used some underhanded tactics on Burchill before utilizing the Virginia Necktie to pick up the win.
Joey Mercury defeated Paul Burchill with the Virginia Necktie at 8:21 Match Quality: C
Several superstars were in the back arguing with each other when newly re-assigned General Manager of RAW; Eric Bischoff tried to calm them down. The superstars in the back were Shawn Michaels, Booker T and John Cena. All of these men were protesting the appointment of Triple H as the World Heavyweight Champion. Shawn Michaels claimed that since he had been the better member of DX for the last few months, entertaining the crowd more so than Triple H, that he should be the World Champ. Booker T, without his crown or his Queen, claimed that he had been ruling Smackdown with an iron fist for the last few months before he was stripped of his title and shipped off to the cesspool known as RAW. And John Cena claimed that he had never actually lost the title but was simply stripped of it in the event that he got drafted to Smackdown. Since he didn’t, he thought that he should have the title back. Eric Bischoff agreed with all of them but figured that since so many people had such a good claim to the World Title that all three of them would face off next in a Triple Threat Number 1 Contenders match. Shawn Michaels asked if that meant that his Main Event with Triple H and Randy Orton would be put on hold which Eric laughed off and told him that Shawn would be pulling double duty… and that the Triple Threat next would be an Elimination match and the Main Event would follow suit.
Quality: A
Next up was the Triple Threat match that was just made between Booker T (Fresh from Smackdown) John Cena and Shawn Michaels. The match was a very strong one and all of these men looked primed and ready to become WWE Champion. Booker T made an impact on RAW when he started the match off with a side kick to the face of Cena, knocking him out. This sparked what wasn’t exactly what could be considered a technical wrestling fest. Cena struggled to his feet and sent fists flying, knocking out whoever was moving and was within striking distance. The match was very open and whenever one man gained control, he lost it to another man who then lost control to someone else. The match went on for a good 16 minutes before Triple H walked out with a sledgehammer in hand. Triple H smashed Cena’s face in before walloping Booker in the side of the head. Trips then stared at Shawn who started smiling. Shawn went to hug Trips who looked like he was going to accept but soon smashed Shawn in the face with the sledgehammer as well. Trips then did the “Suck It” to which the crowd actually erupted in cheers. Triple H dropped the sledgehammer as Paramedics rushed out to help the 3 fallen superstars.
Shawn Michaels, Booker T and John Cena ended in a Draw from Outside Interference. Match Quality: A*
The three superstars struggled to make their ways backstage. When they were finally back there, they got into a shouting war which Shawn Michaels calmed down. Shawn brought up the point that they may be all on the opposite side of who deserves the WWE Title but they should be united by the desire to take the title from Triple H. The three men agreed and created a pact against Triple H.
Quality: A*
Back in the ring, a tag team match was about to begin. This match could determine a number one contender for the WWE World Tag Team Titles held by the Spirit Squad, first out was the bizarre tag team of Paul London and Eugene who looked rather ready to team up against the Spirit Squad. The match started and was dominated early by the Spirit Squad which was represented by Johnny and Mitch. Kenny and Nicky also made their way towards the ring in order to slant the game even more in the favor of the Spirit Squad. However this did not work as London and Eugene were able to effectively thwart the numbers game as Eugene attempted to carry on an intelligent conversation with Kenny and Nicky while in the meantime, London took Mitch off the apron before giving Johnny an X-Factor and climbing the top rope, hitting a 450 Splash on Johnny for the 1, 2, 3. The Squad was livid as Eugene and London made there way up the ramp to celebrate their win.

Elsewhere in the arena, Finlay was talking about how he heard that all of the biggest, toughest, meanest fighters were here on RAW. Finlay realized that they weren’t lying when he stepped foot in the arena and saw a mammoth of a man walking around. Finlay said that the man he saw walking around was The Big Show. Finlay took the liberty to then challenge Big Show to a match next.
Quality: C
Finlay Vs Big Show is a match that when you hear it being mentioned, you know it isn’t going to be a Catch-As-Catch-Can wrestling classic. You hear this match being mentioned and you better clear the way because these guys are going to be going at it as physical as they can and that was exactly what this match was. For 10 minutes these fighters fought to be supreme in the locker room. Nothing much of note in this match that was interesting but it was a pretty good brawl. Finlay uses his shillelagh to knock the Big Show off his feet before Finlay pins him to pick up the win.
Finlay defeated Big Show Quality: B
In the back, Smackdown Superstar and World Heavyweight Champion, Edge is wandering around the Allstate Arena, meeting with some fellow RAW superstars that were left on RAW. With Lita by his side, one man stopped them… Randy Orton. Orton walked up to Edge and smiled, he shook his hand before looking at Lita, Orton kisses the back of Lita’s hand which infuriated Edge. Edge demanded Orton leave his sight which Orton did with out any complications… on his way out however, Orton handed Lita a key to his hotel room. Lita looked flattered but Edge looked pissed off as Orton walked off down the hallway
Quality: A
Elsewhere in the arena, Triple H is seen ducking into his locker room. Chris Masters and The Great Khali stand in front of the door apparently on guard. Nothing seems to happen for a while so things go to a commercial
Quality: A*
We come back to Triple H’s locker room where Kane approached the door. Kane told Masters and Khali to move to which they did. Kane opened Triple H’s door and went in. Kane was in there saying that tonight since RVD didn’t make it and since he had nothing to do that he wanted to come out with Triple H and make sure nothing gets too out of hand in his Main Event match against Shawn Michaels and Randy Orton. Triple H thought of this as a good idea and agreed.
Quality: A*
Main Event time, as three of the greatest superstars in the WWE step into the ring tonight to wage war. Randy Orton who represents the future of the WWE, Triple H who represents the present and Shawn Michaels who represents the glory days of the WWF. These three men were primed and ready to put on an amazing show for the last match of the new era of RAW. The match was rather back and forth but whenever someone started to go after Triple H, Kane took the liberty to tilt things back in the way of Triple H. Triple H got RKO’d near the end but Randy took a Superkick to the mush. Then, Shawn began to tune up the band on the downed Triple H. Kane grabbed Shawn Michaels who wrestled with each other before Rob Van Dam came and took out Kane’s legs with a kick to behind Kane’s knee. RVD went to town on Kane but Finlay came out and cleaned the clock of RVD with the Shillelagh. Finlay started on a brutal assault with the Shillelagh but Big Show came down and took care of Finlay quickly. Shawn, still in the ring, was distracted by all of this commotion and when he turned to face Triple H, he was caught with a kick to the gut and set up for the Pedigree. Shawn Michaels back dropped Triple H to get out of it but when he stood up, Orton went for an RKO but was shoved off by HBK into the ropes and when Orton came firing back, he was caught with a super kick who was then pinned by HBK. Shawn got up and turned around as Triple H was standing again but he got caught with a Sweet Chin Music as well. Shawn Michaels pinned Triple H for the 1, 2, and 3. Big Show and RVD came into the ring to congratulate Shawn Michaels as the show went off the air.
Shawn Michaels defeated Triple H and Randy Orton at 39:27 Quality: A*
