I was just going through some of my old notebooks the other day and I came across some comics that I did years ago. Even though the art is exceptionally bad, I've realized that I had a talent for it.
While most of them are unfinished and untitled, I've made some great premises for comic stories. If I had a scanner I would share some of comics.

I haven't drawn and written a comic, but an estranged friend of mine is a brilliant artist and drew a delightfully entertaining comic. I haven't really had the will to draw since GT Art in middle school. I'm more of a copy-artist (able to copy drawings) than any other drawing type.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with that, as long as you're not tracing. Plenty of professional artists have done and do the same thing. It can help you develop your own style, and make you more confident in your art.
I've "copied" everything everything from 'Superman' to 'Watchmen'. I think it has really helped hone my skills over the years, even though I believe my true passion lies in writing the stories instead of drawing them.

I have written several short comics, unfortunately they are all inside jokes.
I have spoken about my "Feces Man" idea a while back, that is actually based on a true story. I have no idea where the human being who inspired Feces Man lives.. but if I ever went through with it, I don't want lawsuits.
Feces man was essentially a brown spiderman... well, the suit was spiderman inspired, and he shot well.... feces, out of his wrists.
I wrote an origin comic many years ago, and never did anything with it again... people thought I was insane at the time, and I don't blame them.
I wrote another, which I actually still have in storage if I'm not mistaken, about a friend my sister once knew.
She was mexican, and her parents were deaf.... and she was a slut, and her brother had an afro... so it was easy pickins for me.
The other one is really inside... basically between me and my brother. I won't even mention it.

I had a very basic three panel style comic in vain of Penny Arcade written with some VERY rough pencil sketchings in the works. You see, I'm a great writer, and I have great concepts when it comes to character design in my mind, but I lack the drawing talent part. I keep practicing though, I've gotten a little better, but I'd be better off getting some guy to draw for me...

'Feces Man'? Sounds eerily similar to Green Jelly's 'Shitman' music video circa 1992. I have that video, it's awesome.

Feces man was circa 1990-91... so it was an original idea.

I had a very basic three panel style comic in vain of Penny Arcade written with some VERY rough pencil sketchings in the works. Ah, the faithful comic strip. I've done more of those than anything else. My first one was called 'Blank' that I did from 1995-1998. It circulated in my middle school's newspaper. It was basically a bunch of uniquely drawn college age guys making completely obscure jokes. I have to say, it wasn't my best work. In 1996, I started drawing (and still occasionally draw) a comic about these two alien kids and their short-tempered father who crashed landed in L.A. while on vacation across the galaxy. It was heavily inspired from some of my favorite comic strips such as 'Calvin & Hobbes' and 'Dennis the Meance'. My strips actually won a comic contest my school had in 1998, and in 1999 the main character was even put on a billboard for a 4-H poster contest that I won. I still have that prize ribbon and poster to this day, to remind me of things to possibly come. I would love to get a site up where I can post these types of comics, or better yet, get them into the newspapers that are all the rage these days. If anybody here who shares my dream would be interested in "teaming up" for something, I'm always open for it. Who knows, we could create the next 'Peanuts'.

If I had a steady income, I'd have already have gotten a website with some good bandwith and have attempted to locate an artist willing to "hook a brotha up" with my comic. Having a comic is one of those things where I'll always want to do it, but the realization is very unlikely.

ive dabbled in the creative process from the artistic standpoint, going as far as pencilling and inking a few pages of an origin issue of my friend's comic. never amounted to anything though, because i have a short attention span for things like that
not much of a writer, unless its purely satirical... and that doesnt always fit into the comic medium

Sadly, that's probably the same situation with me. I'm young, witty, and beautiful. I can get anything I want at this point in my life but, you know how it goes...

This is the cover to the comic i am currently working on whenever i find time to do so. I think i was going with the title of the US Patriot, who bascially is a guy that kills terrorists, becuase his wife was killed in 9/11. So he works for the goverment killing terrorists and such. I was just bored, and it gives me an excuse to use really corny jokes.

I remember trying. I used to be more into coming up with ideas for characters. Like I'd draw a character, give them a cool look, and then draw an arsenal of weapons and diagram what each do. Good times, good times.
