Janurary 6th, 2000 Preview:Monday on Raw, Triple H was the first victim of the newest addition to the WWF roster, Tazz. Tazz locked in his signature move, the tazzmission and the game had to tap. This was the Game's only chance at Show and the gold, and Tazz has taken it away. After Raw, WWF.com caught up with Tazz and here some comments: "I did Big Show one of the biggest favors of his life, and it is just going to turn in to a huge problem. Show, you better watch your back this thursday, because the mood of Smackdown is about to change." And this week, Tazz will be going up against The British Bulldog, in what should be a great match! Also this week on SMACKDOWN!: WWF Superstars will be trying to enter the Rumble, as 23 spots are still open. 2 matches will be qualifiers... Matt Hardy will try to do one better then his brother, as he battles Billy Gunn for a Royal Rumble spot. Steve Blackman, the martial arts expert, will also try to find a spot, as he will go against the monster Prince Albert. Finally, The #1 Contenders match for the Tag Titles will take place, as The Dudleys will square with Edge and Christian, to see who will face the NAO at the ROYAL RUMBLE! All of this and appearances from Steve Austin and the Big Red Machine Kane! Only on SMACKDOWN ON UPN!

January 6th, 2000*The nWo comes out to once again kick off the broadcast. They send a warning to the Filthy Animals, saying that the New World Order has been built on a reputation of ruthlessness and destroying their enemies, and this will be no different if the Filthy Animals don't remove their noses from nWo business right now. Kidman enters, backed by Konnan, Rey Misterio, and Eddie Guerrero. Billy says that he isn't backing down an inch. Back in high school, he stood up to bullies, and now will be no different. Kidman says that if it has to be, it'll be a battle of reputations, but he can't just sit back and watch as the lowlifes in the ring pick off random men for their entertainment. Bret says that if Kidman is so brave, then they shouldn't have a problem taking on the nWo in the ring. Hart says that he and Jarrett will take on any two of the Filthy Animals. Kidman accepts eagerly, and says he'll be joined by Rey Misterio. Bret then says he'll see them later, and that Vince Russo should take note of what happens in this ring tonight*
*Video runs showing the Revolution. Douglas makes a few remarks towards Goldberg. He then says that he challenges Goldberg to a match on next week's Nitro, to prove just who deserves a title shot, and he wants his answer tonight* Shannon Moore vs. Evan Karagias#1 Contender to Cruiserweight titleEvan Karagias was said to request this match after what happened on Nitro, and the stipulation was added simply for Russo's entertainment, to see how bad each man would want it. The announcer's also stated that Vince Russo told Karagias this would be his last chance for a shot at the title for a long time to come if he couldn't get the win tonight. But luckily for him, it seemed like Shannon didn't want to put too much of a rift in the group, so he didn't put up much of a fight. Karagias won, and following the match Moore extended his hand to try and smooth things over and as if to say that he's sorry for how things went down three days ago. Evan just shoved his hand away and walked out of the ring Winner: Evan Karagias (46%)*Mean Gene Okerlund is seen on the phone. He asks, "why aren't you at the building? What do you mean you have no reason to be? You own the company!" That reveals that it's Russo on the other end, which the crowd throws a mixed reaction to. Russo then apparently orders Okerlund to find Goldberg to get his answer to Shane Douglas's challenge for next week's Nitro, because he wants a good main event unlike that "piece of garbage that the viewers saw 3 days ago", referring to the nWo being trash. Okerlund tries to ask more questions but is hung up on. He sighs then goes to look for his interviewee*
*Jarrett is in the back, pacing and complaining about the Filthy Animals. Bret says that they've got this under control, but it doesn't change the fact that Jarrett wasn't on top of his game on Nitro. Hart tells him that he better pull his weight in tonight's tag match. Jarrett stops pacing and looks at Hart, somewhat angry and sort of offended. He grits his teeth and says that all Hart has to worry about tonight is himself*Lex Luger vs. Mark JindrakDDP accompanied his "protege" to the ring, but made little to no effort to shout any advice or anything throughout the entire bout. Jindrak started off strong, which had the crowd going wild, but it soon proved that Luger was too much and ended taking a submission victory thanks to his Torture Rack. Following the match, Luger grabbed a mic and said that DDP better do more work with the kid, because he's not ready for the big leagues. Winner: Lex Luger (44%)*Big T and Stevie Ray are exchanging words backstage, frustrated. T asks what they're going to do, and Stevie asks how T's big ass fell out of the ring because of a thrust kick. Big T shuts up, but his lip snarls. He then asks Stevie Ray what happens if him and Booker win at Sin. Stevie gets up close in T's face and says that they won't...guaranteed*Jim Duggan & Ric Flair vs. The Varsity ClubFlair and Duggan began red-hot, hitting crowd-erupting maneuvers and making quick tags. The pace quickened to a rate that had Duggan seemingly tripping over his own feet. Steiner and Rotunda seemed to notice it and Rick attacked Duggan's knee. The slow disection then began on Duggan. After a while, he attempted a comeback, but an eye rake put that down like a chronically-ill housepet. Flair was then pulled off the apron by Rotunda and thrown into the steel steps, multiple times. This left Duggan vulnerable to cheap tactics and double-teaming by the Varsity Club who got the win after Steiner hit his top-rope bulldog. Winner: The Varsity Club (64%)*Konnan and Eddie Guerrero are seen laid out in the back, lifeless. Road agents and official arrive on the scene and immediately call for a paramedic. They try to get either man to respond, but get nothing*
*Goldberg is interviewed by Gene Okerlund. Goldberg says that no man or even combonation of men can stop him from achieving his goal of becoming the WCW World champion once again. He says the same thing a couple more times, just reworded, and is eventually interrupted by Sid Vicious who darts in and levels Goldberg with a clothesline from behind. Goldberg falls to the floor and Sid begins stomping away at him. After that, Sid looks and finds a chair. He goes to deliver a blow, but Gene puts himself in the way and tells Sid to settle it in the ring*Billy Kidman & Rey Misterio vs. Bret Hart & Jeff JarrettThe Filthy Animals came out and as obvious underdogs and put up a valiant effort, but it wouldn't matter. A few minutes into the match, the rest of the nWo entered the ring and a 5-on-2 onslaught ensued. Rey and Kidman were both bloodied and decimated, and the nWo once again posed in dominance to end the broadcast. Winner: Billy Kidman & Rey Mistero via DQ (85%)

The Opening: The Smackdown opening airs and Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler greet us. They said that tonight is jammed pack and that more people will be named for the Royal Rumble. Just then, we hear glass breaking as Stone Cold Steve Austin makes his way down the aisle. He says that he is disappointed...disapointed at the fact that he is not involved with the World Title Position, but Tazz is. He said if he cannot face Big Show at the Royal Rumble, he will just face him at Wrestlemania, because he is entering the Royal Rumble. He dropped the mic and the crowd went nuts.
Royal Rumble Quailifier Prince Albert v. Steve Blackman: A bad match for an opener. Hell, a bad match in general. Steve Blackman won it with the Guillotine Choke. Blackman is in the Royal Rumble. Winner: Steve Blackman Rating: 51%
A video aired with violent scary images. Then, Kane appeared on the screen and it said that Kane will be in the Royal Rumble.
Big Show was backstage. He said that no matter what he is ready for a fight, no matter who it is. I guess this is a response to Tazz's comments.
Royal Rumble Quailifer Matt Hardy v. Billy Gunn: A better match then expected. Billy Gunn advanced to the Royal Rumble after he hit a Fameasser on Hardy. Winner: Billy Gunn Rating: 70%
Vince McMahon came out to the ring to boos. He said that the #1 Contender's match for the Tag Titles was next. The Winner will face the New Age Outlaws at the Royal Rumble, the losers will be entered into the Royal Rumble. So everyone wins.
#1 Contender to the Tag Titles The Dudley Boys v. Edge & Christian: As expected, this match was great. Both teams battled hard. A 3D to christian sealed the deal, as the Dudleys won the match and will face NAO. Edge & Christian will be entered in the Royal Rumble. Winner: The Dudleys Rating: 80%
A hype video aired. It said the 'he' returns at the Royal Rumble. Then, the Undertaker symbol came up.
Triple H came out to the ring before the main event got started. He said that Tazz got lucky, and tonight, if he beats the Bulldog, he will give Tazz a shot at the #1 Contendership on Monday. Whoever wins that match would face the Big Show, but that is if Tazz wins tonight.
Main Event Tazz v. The British Bulldog: A decent match that went a little longer than expected. Bulldog almost had Tazz in Powerslam position, but Tazz battled out and locked in a standing Tazzmission for the win. Afterwards, Triple H came in and attacked Tazz with a chair. The Show ended with Triple H over Tazz's body. Winner: Tazz Rating: 77%

Val Venis was in the ring. He said that he will be personally entering himself in the Rumble. He also layed down a challenge for anyone at the Rumble. Prince Albert made his way to the ring and stared down Venis.
The Headbangers v. Kai En Tai: A great tag match. The Crowd didn't appericate it though. A camel clutch dropkick to Thrasher put the Headbangers away. Kai En Tai picked up the win. Winners: Kai En Tai Rating: 73%
A Chris Jericho hype video was played.
Mark Henry was backstage. He said that the World's Strongest Man, will also be in the Royal Rumble.

I really like the Tazz/Triple H/Big Show situation; I'm thinking of a triple threat at the Rumble and I'm hoping Tazz wins it and that Chris Jericho wins the Rumble Match - Jericho vs. Tazz at Mania for the title. =-D

Raw Preview:This week on Raw!: Triple H and Tazz will battle it out for the shot at the World Title. Who will win this battle? The World Champion had some words for both men: "On Monday, it won't matter who wins. Whether it be Triple H or Tazz. They won't be able to touch me at the Royal Rumble. I am the WWF Champion and it will remain that way." Mr. McMahon has made this match a no DQ match, just so we can have a clean winner. Also this week: Chris Jericho and Val Venis, two unlikely competitors, will team up to face their Royal Rumble opponents, Prince Albert and Kurt Angle. Angle will be challenging Jericho and Albert challenging Venis. The final week of Royal Rumble matches begin as 2 matches will take place: Road Dogg v. British Bulldog Taka Michinoku v. Godfather Finally, Mick Foley will be in the building and D-Von Dudley will face off with Billy Gunn.

Raw Results:
Opening: The Raw opening airs as Jerry 'The King' Lawler and Jim Ross greet us. They get right down to business, explaining the World Title Picture. Just then Kurt Angle's music hits as him and Albert get set for our first bout.
Kurt Angle/Prince Albert v. Chris Jericho/Val Venis: A good opening bout. Angle was the one who really impressed tonight. Jericho hit a middle rope moonsault on Albert and got a two. Angle came in, after finishing Venis on the outside, and locked in the Angle locked on Jericho. Venis saved him though, and Jericho was able to move out of the ring. Albert and Angle doubled teamed Venis, and Angle finished him with an Angle Slam for the win. Afterwards, Venis and Jericho had an argument. Winner: Kurt Angle & Prince Albert Rating: 76%
An Edge and Christian hype video aired, saying that the Royal Rumble will now reek of awesomeness.
Gillberg was backstage. He mentioned that he will be the first cruiserweight to enter the Royal Rumble this year. He then tried to beat up the camera man, but was shoved to the ground.
Royal Rumble Quailifer Bristish Bulldog v. Road Dogg: Before the match had started, the British Bulldog declared that he is the true Dog. The match started off even, until Road Dogg saw an advantage. He went for a pumphandle slam, but was distracted by Bubba Ray Dudley. Bulldog hit a powerslam for the win. Afterwards, Road Dogg chased Bubba as the Bulldog celebrated his road to the Royal Rumble. Winner: British Bulldogg Rating: 65%
Tazz was with the Dudleys backstage. He told Bubba that was some nice work. He also added that tonight, he will also make some work out of the game. He said Triple H should be him if he can, survive if Tazz lets you.
Billy Gunn v. D-Von Dudley: A quick match with some decent action. D-Von went over Gunn, after a Dudleyville Drop. After the match, Road Dogg came out and beat on D-Von. Then, Bubba came out for the save. It was a close call, with D-Von looking badly hurt. Winner: D-Von Dudley Rating: 57%
Royal Rumble Quailifer TAKA Michinoku v. Godfather: This was one of the most obsecen matches in Raw history. These two are totally different styles and they didn't blend well at all. Sho Funaki, TAKA's partner, came down to the ring and hit GodFather with the Japanese flag and then TAKA hit a Michinoku driver for the win. Afterwards, GodFather challenged Funaki to a Royal Rumble Quailifer on Smackdown and he accepted in a unqiue way. All he said was, "INDEED". Winner: TAKA Michinoku Rating: 55%
A Chyna hype aired. She said that she will be the first women in the Royal Rumble. The crowd was shocked with this announcement.
#1 Contender's Match Triple H v. Tazz: Hands down one of the best matches on Raw. These two connected better than their last match. Triple H almost had the match after a huge Spinebuster. Tazz kicked out and Triple H was stunned. Tazz hit a urangi suplex for a long 2. These was some great back and forth action. All of a sudden, the Big Show came to the ring. He attacked both men leaving them down. The Ref called for the bell. Big show remained surpreme, until Vince McMahon came down and said that at the Royal Rumble, it will be a Triple threat match. Then, Triple H and Tazz teamed up to take out Show as the show ended. Winner: Draw Rating: 88%
