this is from the Ask the Editors #21 on DC Comics today...
"IT'S MILLER TIME!
Loved seeing Frank Miller back on Batman! Since Frank didn't do the art, I'm overjoyed that he could get the superlative Jim Lee to handle the art duties. I have enjoyed Jim's work since way back in X-Men. I noticed a lot of Milleresque touches in Jim's art.
Rumor had it that Frank was working on a 300-page black-and-white Batman story. If this is true, will we ever see it?
— Eric B.
So glad you're enjoying ALL STAR B&R, Eric. Yes, Frank has been working on a special Batman project for quite some time now. Hold on, it's coming. And it will knock you out!
— Bob Schreck, Group Editor, ALL STAR BATMAN AND ROBIN, THE BOY WONDER"
I think that miller's best work is done when he draws it himself as it suites his writing better, nothign against Jim Lee who is the best and possibly greatest comic artist of all time. I think that maybe ALL Star had been mediocre is because Miller may heave been using all his creative juices on his Batman title rather than the ALL Star title, or maybe it is just wishful thinking.
