My Favortie is Tim Sale Most famous work: Batman:The Long Halloween, Batman: Dark Victory. Curently: Doing covers for Batgirl. Catwoman: When in Rome was just recently released as trade paperback. Runners up: Frank Miller Most Famous Work: Batman: Dark Knight Returns, Batman: Dark Knight Strikes Again, Sin City (All of them), Ronin, etc. Currently: Writing All Star Batman and Robin, and also working on a seperate Bat-title which he will illustrate. Jim Lee ( who is the best, just not my favorite) Most Famous Work: X-men, Batman: Hush Currently: All Star Batman and Robin, Absolute Batman Hush currently released, cover for Spawn #150, Infinite Crisis alternate covers, Captain Atom: Armageddon #1 alternative cover, FUTURE WORK" WildC.A.T.S w/ Grant Morrison, Comet Ranger w/ Alan Moore (an incredible team) Jae Lee Recent: Batman: Jekyll and Hyde #1-#3, Batman Gotham Knights cover. Currently: recently moved to Marvel (unfortunitly) Just wondering your guys favorties, please post a pic to go along with it.

Jack Kirby, Joe Madureira, John Romita Jr., Ed McGuinness, Carlos Pacheco, Mike Wieringo, and George Perez all come to mind.

I'm gonna steal Marvel's "10 Terrific" idea. My ten favorite artists in no particular order:
Mark Bagley John Romita John Romita Jr. Alex Ross George Perez Carlos Pacheco Jeff Smith Leinel Yu Olivier Copiel Ryan Ottley
I've never really enjoyed the cookie cutter types like Rob Liefield, Jim Lee, Michael Turner, Markl Silvestri, etc. Basically, the old school Image style.
