And boy what a job he did carrying the torch! The first person to properly pin Hulk Hogan since Hulkamania was born and he made a total hash of it. Within 18 months of this the guy was fired. Hulk was back on top within a year.
Verdict: Warrior Sucks!

Warrior is a legend. He provided more excitement for me from 87-92 than Flair did from 72-08.

Saw this live 18 years ago today on PPV. It was my first live WM and my first time watching Hogan lose cleanly. I was a huge Hulkamaniac, but didn't mind that he lost to the Warrior because Warrior was cool and not a snotty bunghole bad guy like a Million $ Man.
My thoughts on it now, Hogan should've connected with the leg drop and we all would've been alot happier for it today.

I was there in the crowd all those years ago and it was awesome. WrestleMania VI was an awesome event and I'll never forget it. Hogan vs. Warrior was a tremendous match and it was good seeing Hogan lose cleanly for a change.

Well...
I dunno if you can really call the finish clean. I mean, ref goes down, Hogan has Warrior beat, but no ref to count. Then Warrior gets the win a little while later, but Hogan did have him beat first. Granted it's not outright interruptions and chairshots, but Hogan did still protect his own ass.
Either way, a historic match and it still holds up to this day.

It was one of the only good matches on a very lackluster card. More-so, it was very entertaining and told a nice story on top of it. If it weren't for Warrior/Savage at WrestleMania VII, I'd say it's Warrior's best match.

Ted DiBiase Was one of the greats, He would have been better then Warrior as champ.

Warrior is the worst "wrestler" ever to be WWF champion, but yet, all the kiddies went ballistic for him.............myself included.

I was at the skydome for it. I popped huge when Warrior won the belt. Too bad he ended up being a total nut job

Warrior blew plain and simple. Hes no even in the top 20 all time greatest

Hulk was back on top within a year. Verdict: Warrior Sucks! In Warriors defense he really didn't have any good contenders during his reign. Piper and Jake Roberts should have been turned heel to feud with him. Plus they really should have had that Hogan/Warrior rematch the following year that would have been good.
