Whoo an NBA Live diary! You're using NBA Live 2006, right? This should be awesome. I hope you keep this diary going for a long time. Duncan, Parker and Ginobili will carry the team into the playoffs....I hope. The home opener vs. Denver should be a fun match up, I can't wait to read this.

THE SPURS SHUT DOWN DENVER San Antonio Spurs vs. Denver Nuggets November 1st, 2005
The Spurs supporters came out in their thousands to see their team's opening game for the 05/06 season, and they were not disappointed.
The game started off with San Antonio having foul troubles in the first quarter with Manu Ginobli picking up 4 fouls. The Spurs' free throw shooting was right off, with only 2 out of 9 being converted in the first quarter. Denver also had their fair share of foul troubles, allowing San Antonio plenty of free throw opportunities. San Antonio walked into the huddle 9 points up after the first. The second quarter was more of the same, except San Antonio were not giving many fouls away, and tightened up on their free throw shooting. Surprisingly though Denver crept back up on the Spurs, and won the quarter 28 to 20, only putting them behind by 1 point.
The third term was where San Antonio really lifted their game, and showed the grit needed to win a game of basketball. They only won the quarter by 3 points, but they went in to the last with a full head of steam. The first half of the last quarter, it was really neck-and-neck. Anthony shot several 3's for Denver, but the Spurs turned it up a notch in the final quarter, blowing the Nuggets away. Tony Parker lifted his game, getting in tight and putting down lay-ups. The ball movement from the Spurs was astounding, and it really won the game for them.
All-in-all, the Spurs played good ball for the last half, and showed that they are the real deal this season. Guys like Duncan, Ginobli, Parker and even Hory showed glimpses of greatness, and will just get better and better as the season rolls on, which is a scary prospect for the other teams.
Final Score SAS - 115 DN - 100
Player of the Game Tim Duncan

Great winning the season opener against Denver. You really seemed to pull away in the second half, you shut down Mello and defeated the Nuggets by 15. The Spurs host the Cavs in their next game, hope you go 2-0 and shut down LeBron.
The first game was a good little read, keep up the good work.
